If Republicans take back the House in this year’s midterm elections — as political analysts expect — Gaetz, Greene and other members of the so-called "MAGA Squad" could have undue influence in who becomes the next speaker. This, Gaetz and Greene said in the Time article, means McCarthy needs to curry favor with them if he hopes to become speaker.

“Greene is forthright about the fact that she expects to have some leverage over McCarthy if he seeks the Speakership, and she intends to make the most of it,” the author of that article, Molly Ball, wrote. “Whoever wants to be the next speaker, Greene tells me, is going to have to earn her backing—and that of her allies.”
Gaetz said McCarthy’s subservience to him was apparent in two separate instances that occurred earlier this year. The first was when McCarthy told the rest of the Republican caucus he would call Gaetz and admonish him for repeatedly assailing Rep. Liz Cheney after the Jan. 6 Capitol riots.

Don't forget about her pimping her OnlyFans.

For those that don't know her user name is IHeartNaziBallsAcrossMyChin.

Evidently is an old German phrase.

1. A bill to award Kyle Rittenhouse a Congressional Gold Medal
2. A bill to eliminate the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives
3. A bill to give Congressional Gold Medals to police officers who served during various Black Lives Matters marches around the country in 2020.
4. The No Funding for Terrorists Act
5. The We Will Not Comply Act (The bill would ban any discrimination based on whether or not you've received the Covid-19 vaccine.)
6. The Fire Fauci Act
7. The Protect America First Act
8. The Gun Owner Privacy Act
9. The Second Amendment Preservation Act
10. A bill that would impeach President Joe Biden for his role in the pullout of American troops from Afghanistan
11. A bill that would impeach Biden
12. A(nother) bill that would impeach Biden
13. A bill to remove California Rep. Maxine Waters from the Financial Services Committee
14. A bill that would expel Waters from Congress
15. A bill honoring Michael D'Angelo Garigan
16. A(nother) bill that would impeach Biden
And that's it.

Pretty much nothing of substance and most of what she has done has failed.

I have a feeling she has a Biden doll that she stabs with a pen knife all day long.
I suspect that she spends her day trying to figure out how to be a greater asshole tomorrow than she was today

Have you read David Axelrod’s piece about how Democrats spending tens of millions to raise the profile of pro-Trump nutjobs has backfired?

“Two shootings on July 4th, one in a rich, white neighborhood and the other at a fireworks display,” Greene said on a Facebook broadcast. “Almost sounds like it’s designed to persuade Republicans to go along with more gun control.”

“I mean, after all, remember, we didn’t see that happen at all the Pride parades in the month of June,” Greene said. While there were numerous incidents of violence at Pride events in June, the only mass shooting at a Pride event this year took place in Oslo.
“But as soon as we hit MAGA Month, as soon as we hit the month that we’re all celebrating, loving our country, we have shootings on July Fourth,” Greene continued.

“I mean, that would sound like a conspiracy theory, right?” she said, laughing. “Of course! But what’s the definition of a rightwing conspiracy theory? It’s the news that’s just six months early.”

That is an incredibly stupid strategy, if true.

For one thing, if Democratic Party tampering succeeds in getting a "nutjob" to win the opposing party's primary, there is always the very real chance said nutjob actually wins the general election! (how else would you explain people like Steve King, Marjorie Taylor Greene, etc.)

They both came from overwhelmingly red districts where the Dems never really had a chance to begin with. In less-red districts and states, it works just fine.

This is how we got Trump. Dumbass Democrats with no real policies that they will advocate or fight for devise dumb shit like this to "win".

They Always Wanted Trump

Inside Team Clinton’s year-long struggle to find a strategy against the opponent they were most eager to face.

....So to take Bush down, Clinton’s team drew up a plan to pump Trump up.

“This memo is intended to outline the strategy and goals a potential Hillary Clinton presidential campaign....

In this scenario, we don’t want to marginalize the more extreme candidates, but make them more ‘Pied Piper’ candidates who actually represent the mainstream of the Republican Party,” read the memo.

“Pied Piper candidates include, but aren’t limited to:
• Ted Cruz
Donald Trump
• Ben Carson
We need to be elevating the Pied Piper candidates so that they are leaders of the pack and tell the press to [take] them seriously."

It's this type of preemptive surrender monkey philosophy that predestines Democrats to lose over and over. Democrats never have a chance in red districts? Really?

That's either:

1. You don't believe in your own policies or values.
2. You don't believe you can convince voters the merit of your policies and values.
3. You think red state voters are too stupid to understand your policies and values.
4. You're too lazy to put in the work of convincing red state voters the merits of your policies and values.

All of these are bullshit. Your job as politician is to advocate your positions relentlessly and without apology. Not give up at the first sign of resistance or run candidates whose policies and values mirror hardcore right wing Republicans like Joe Manchin (who subsequently kill all major Democratic legislation).

You obviously don't know how red MTG's district and King's former one are. My point was, the strategy of duping the Republicans into nominating someone like them works fine in a district or state that's red but not that red.

The funny part is Democrats spending their own money to elevate Trump and nutjobs like him….

…. And then losing to them.

That’s gotta hurt.

( i wondered why CNN was giving Trump so much visibility in 2016… now we know why… the Democrats helped elect Trump)

You obviously are not getting my point. It doesn't matter how red anyone's district is. You don't dream up any strategy that distracts from your core message and principles. It's fake and phony and even the dumbest voters knows it's bullshit even if they don't know why. The key to winning the confidence and long term patronage of any group of people, be they voters or consumers of commercial products and services is being open, honest, and sincerely working in their best interest. Trying to bullshit and hustle them with strategies from mercenary corporate sponsored campaign consultants, lobbyists, and inside the beltway DC conventional wisdom has failed year after year. Decade after decade. Doing it harder and faster is not going to make it any more successful.

Don’t lay Trump at the Democrats’ feet. Look instead at the GOP primary field in 2015, far too wide and shallow, and the numerous shitshows of the primary debates, which they also tried to blame on the media.

You either haven’t read Axelrod’s confession article yet or are on a cruise down deNile.
