What does this American election mean for the Russia-Ukraine war?

Russia does not want to rule Ukraine but it will not allow a NATO force stationed on their soil.
It's not their soil, it's Ukraine's.

Russia has no business keeping NATO away from its borders. The Baltic states are NATO members already, and that does not make them any threat to Russia -- it only guarantees their independence.

What did we do in 1848 when the French were in Mexico? What did we do when the Russians had a base in Cuba. What is the Monroe Doctrine?

The French were not in Mexico in 1848. Later, when they were, we did nothing about it at all. (Being preoccupied with our own Civil War at the time.)

Put the whole world at risk for no good reason.
What is the Monroe Doctrine?
Not a rejection of colonialism. More of a claim to turf -- "the Western Hemisphere is ours and nobody else gets to colonize here." Which at least is tolerable. But the world cannot afford to let Russia have that kind of regional hegemony.

Trump lied that he'd spoken with Putin and told him to de-escalate the war.

Putin said that it was a lie and retaliated by posing nude pictures of Melania across Russian TV for everyone to laugh at. Then Putin announced that Trump owes a great deal for the assistance Russia gave him in the election, and it's time he started paying.

The next thing will be for Trump to start repaying his financial debts to Moscow banks. The next four years will be fun for the US.

Could you re-word that sentence? It makes no sense.

The Us needs to give Ukraine full support and not put limits on their weapons use. Properly supported Ukraine could be more of a threat to Putin. There is currently no incentive for Putin to even entertain a settlement. The US could help that process

Can we count on Trump to do that?
