What drives you to write?

I write because I can. The beauty of this is that I don't have to.

The reason I hate writing is the same reason that I love writing, when I start I have to get it down and have the story reveal itself to me but the typing is really frustrating. The part that I'm leading to is so far away that I'm always in danger of losing it before I get there and on top of that I start meandering off introducing other characters and completely different story lines.

I hate writing but I love having written.

There is nothing more personally and intimately satisfying for me than writing, the working and worrying of it. I love "using" language and playing with it. I love making it do what I want, which may be to express myself, an idea, beauty, or wit (sometimes the erotic).

Writing has always helped me think better, and to discover more than I thought at first. The best part is being "in" the writing so that nothing exists but the time and space of it. I find myself in writing. Sometimes it's painful, sometimes joyful, usually just a very good place to be alone and free.

Writing

To me writing is an addiction, but a very good one!!!!

I could never imagine living in our world without poetry, writing, and the joy that comes from it.

Writng shows a person's creative mind.
