What everyday words do you find offensive?

I mean words that MOST people don't mind... but you hate for some reason or other....

I have 4....

They are

TURD

FART

BOGEY (yanks call 'em BOOGERS)

PENIS


For some reason they annoy me......

Any that get your hackles to rise... even though no-one else worries about 'em?

The word 'vulgar'. I don't know why. It just grates me when I hear it.

Ovaries
I always pronounce it "ovi-aries" and it greatly annoys me.

For me there is no exact word that truly bugs me, but how it is pronounced. I understand people come from different places and learn pronunciation from those they are around. But when my ex would says "jean jacket" she would put the emphasis on the "ja" instead of the "jean" and it annoyed the hell out of me.

Penal...I hate it. sounds too clinical, and makes other words just sound silly.

How about when you use the word "pussy" in a non-offensive context? It sounds so weird, and i always wanna giggle. Pussy willow, pussy cat, lol.
