What is your favorite? **Everyone Join In!**

My 8 favorite movies are: (in order)

1) The Russians are coming! The Russians are coming! (Filmed in 1964, in Mendocino, about 50 miles north of here. I live about ten miles north of San Francisco.)
2) It’s a mad mad mad mad world. (Made in the ‘60s too)
3) American graffiti. (Made in the ‘70s I think. They filmed this movie in and around here. The high school dance seen was made in my former high school. George Lucas lives about two miles from me, even bumped into him at the super market once. I once interviewed at ILM, but they didn’t hire me.)
4) The Spirit of St. Louis. (Lindbergh won a Pulitzer prize for this book.)
5) Take the money and run. (One of Woody Allen’s first movies.)
6) Marooned. (About astronauts being marooned in Earth orbit. The Apollo 13 accident happened the next year.)
7) Clue
8) Kelly’s heroes

(1) Lord of The Rings
(2) Resident Evil
(3) Akira
(4) Pearl Harbor
(5) Starship Troopers
(6) The Green Mile
(7) O Brother, Wher Ar Thou
(8) The Third War
(9) Kelly's Heroes
(10) Dante's Peak

no particular order...

Resident Evil

awesome movie and awesome soundtrack, does the games justice

Monty Python: Holy Grail

old man: "I'm Not Dead!"
man selling old man: "Of course your are!"
collector of dead: "He says he's not dead"
man selling old man: "He's fealing sick, he will die any moment"
old man: "I think I'll go for a walk! I'm feeling happy!"

Lord of the Rings

This shouldn't be a surprise, considering my geekness

Cruel Intensions 1

1: Sara Gellar and a lesbo kiss
2: Awesome ending

Dungeons & Dragons

Why did the black guy have to die! HE WAS AWESOME!!!

ANY Jim Carrey Movie

Listing them all would take too long

Blair Witch Project 2:Book of Shadows

I seem to be the only one who liked this movie

Star Wars

Every one of them, even episode 1

Austin Powers 1 &2

Soon you can add number 3 on that list

James Bond: Goldeneye

Best of the series

Sail Away ~ I bet that was weird running into Mr Lucas.

Garry Bishop ~ Ive never seen Dantes Peak but I plan to rent it soon myself. If its on your top 10 im sure its good.

Tomasu- I see you like Akira.. Have you ever seen Utena-Revoloutionary Girl? I like the cartoon series but to me the movie was a little odd. Even so I own the movie its worth seeing.

Dantes peak is a cop story..its just where ever they had bad guy in script they scribbled it out and wrote in Volcano.

Its about a m,an trying to get even with the volcano that killed his wife. Theres a car chase. A faithful dog. obligatory love interest. Boss who pulls him off the case. despite him saying that it'll happen again ( sorta like when they catch the killer early and everyone says its alright but the hero says otherwise). one of the best cop movies out there.

pity it was about a Volcano.

As for D&D, the black guy died??? What a suprise... forgot the rule of hollywood, the black men always die.

Dante's Peake is a pretty mediocre movie in my opinion, (it stars Piers Brosnan) there so there's one good bit :)

Apart from that it is a pretty standard disaster movie, with the obligatory super brats, the cantancerous old grandmother that needs to be shot on the spot, but justice is served there and ofcourse the mushy mushy which is always required to break the tension in these things.

Make sure you get a friend to rent it and spend your money on the refreshments :) then you'll be the hero and not the person facing the embarassment ;)

It could well be the Posideon Adventure of the 1990's but that wouldn't be fair to Michael Caine (another class actor).

High King, I think Fist of Legends and the Once upon a Time in China series are some of my favorite movies too.

arora, akira as in the anime series? if so, i havn't watched it... in fact, I'm REALLY confused on what you are asking me :D
