Take the money...enjoy it. It isn't buying forgiveness it is a gift.
A little word about forgiveness. It is not something that we do for those who have wronged us. It is something we do for ourselves. If someone slights or offends us they either are ashamed of it or not...if they are then they will try to make amends, if not, then chances are they could not care less about being forgiven. Our not forgiving them is of no concern to them. We however will carry this hurt around and let it burden our thoughts.
So my advice is to forgive and then have a blast with the money...the only consolation is that you know the person in question realized they hurt you. In the end isn't that what we really want?
