What makes a story “Hot”?

I’m a new author on Literotica. While scrolling stories in the past, I have seen the H designator on a few of them but didn’t know what that meant. Now my latest story has a “Hot” label on it. I’m pretty sure that’s a good thing, but I’m curious to know what it means and how it gets there. Please help a newbie out with some knowledge.
