What Music Are You Listening To? Revived...

Jethro Tull - Wind-Up

I'm not sure how that song even got in my head today, but it's been playing on a loop since late evening. I'm trying to remedy that now by digging out the CD and listening to it. Of course, I've listened to this album hundreds of times over the years, but I've got no idea what brought this song to the front of my brain tonight. The same thing happened last week with a song I hadn't heard in years, and I'm going to risk getting it stuck again by listening to that one next.

I haven't really listened properly to Jethro Tull but always liked this one song I heard, would love to hear any other tracks that are as good by them...

My son is playing his guitar...

Rock me like a hurricane

Another great song. Excellent choice!
Oh, I'm not really sure what would be a good entry point into the Jethro Tull collection... hmm. It's fairly predictable, but I'm a huge fan of everything on 'Aqualung'... however, I already plugged that one... so maybe a little bit later vintage...

Jethro Tull - Heavy Horses

The title track from a really good album. I've always liked that one. Or we could go with this title track, which kicks off another classic. (These came to mind immediately, but I'm sure I've forgotten some really good ones.) They're definitely a band where I tend to think more in terms of full albums than individual songs.

Thanks, I listened to both of these and enjoyed them. It made me think of another old band I've heard on the radio and don't know much about, but I really like their vibe too, Pentangle?

Very cool song. Thank you for sharing this...

I can definitely be grouped in the "don't know much about" them camp too, when it comes to Pentangle. I have heard of them, and heard a few songs, but I don't know very much at all. I remember that I once heard Buffy Sainte-Marie mention them in an old interview, so I tried to learn a tiny bit about them. (Ms. Sainte-Marie is my forever goddess, and I'd follow anything she mentioned... lol.) But then I must've forgotten to follow up with further exploration.

I wasn't familiar with the cool song you shared here... and I liked it very much!
