What pissed you off today?

feeling like they don't get it. there really does come a time when it's not about the play.
:(

Because there have been so many rain outs this speedway season (summer? HAH!!) the track bosses have decided to add an extra meeting to the schedule on 18th December, which was supposed to be a free weekend.

Which means I have to re-do Sir's dialysis schedule for the umpteenth time  Trying to fit in extra speedway meetings, family and friends' commitments, and try to get things organised for my short trip back to NZ, is giving me a headache

Flu sucks. Even if it's the one-day (sort of) variety. It especially sucks when you're 700 miles + away from home, supposed to be having fun with family/friends, and on the night before/day that you're *supposed* to be driving home, but end up having to stay an extra day in a motel instead. If I'm going to be sick and miserable, I'd prefer to be sick and miserable at home, where I'd be a little more (psychically, at least) comfortable.

Sorry for resurrecting this thread from the second page, but it's the most appropriate thread for the above.

People running hot and cold. If I extend a hand and you spit in my face DO NOT turn around and talk to me two days later without so much as a word of acknowledgment over your actions toward me.

Thanks, Cat. Actually feeling a bit better now, approaching human, since the symptoms started around midday yesterday, ran through last night and this morning. I guess the "24-hour flu" appellation is at least a reasonably accurate description. Still "washed out" from the experience, but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Aww, SW. Seems like you are always under the weather or suffering some kind of pain lately. What's up? :(

Old age. And being around people who feel the best way to weather their flu is to share it.

The pain thing, though, is pretty much an all-the-time thing that comes with old age and having abused my body for, oh, say, 59 of the past 61 years.

Why do I feel like you've been sick for ages?
Get well soon, man!

I admit I'm on here, 'cause I got an email update and it had Keroin's name on it... Iwas like "WHAT?! Keroin's pissed? NOWAI!", so I came in to read the rest. :)

I sympathise Sir_W, Sir lives with pain 24/7 from arthritis (spine, neck, knees) and rotator cuff syndrome in both shoulders.

However we have found something which works really well:

http://www.emuspirit.com.au/

We use the liquid gel, massaged into painful spots it really does relieve pain. I even rubbed it on His throat which was sore and scratchy and He got excellent relief.

It is expensive, but it really does work and a little goes a long way :)

LOL. I rarely post in here.

Oh, I understand that. L's body is a hot mess. He'll be fifty next year which, for an ex-stunt man, is actually 127 in human years.

But it just seems like you've had a lot of colds and flu's lately. Hope you're all better soon.

Oooo, I will have to check this out for L. He's on glucosamine but he really has some painful days because of his (admittedly self-inflicted) arthritis. I am trying to convince him to start yoga classes to help with it as well.

Feeling sick again, all day. Have spent the whole of Christmas and New Year with the flu, and am still trying to deal with all the other health issues which have decided to crop up in the last year or so. I am determined to be healthy again at some point, but on days like today it is hard to believe that day will ever come.

Hearing that while my daughter was in hospital (she still is, it's a week today) with glandular fever and strep throat, her boyfriend partied up at her place with his mates and the police were called

I don't know all the details (she can't talk very well yet) but I did tell her that this showed a complete lack of respect for her especially as she's been so sick, and that I think he's had enough chances
