Okay, I've discovered that most of my recent games tend to generate little to no female interest. So, what kind of games are you girls in the mood for right now? I haven't RPed in forever because lately I can never seem to get a game off the ground and keep it afloat.

So, please post what kinds of games you're into right now, and if you have seen my games before and passed on it, what influenced that decision? What can I do to make my games appeal more to the general audience? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Based on what everyone says, we can create a game together, and this will be the OOC thread for it. Please, speak your mind :).

Okay. I haven't seen alot of your stories/thread except for the superheroes one. Which I personally think is awesome.

Here's my problem with your plots. They're too big for a simple rp. They should be simplified a bit more so that people can jump in and see themselves involved. Your plots are like a huge story and I'm almost afraid I'll fuck shit up. That and I'm confused with it all. I get the jist, but the details are like 'huh?'. Maybe I'm just slow, but I thought I'll give you this little girls opinion. might not be worth much.

Yeah, I have to agree with Reina. I mean dont get me wrong. I LOVE rping with you its just you make things a lot more complicated than they need to be and it kind of makes the other role players feel like your the author and they are just the characters trying to follow the map that you've made out for them. Thats not a bad thing, mind you. I have no problem with structure, it helps out A LOT but when you expect one character do one thing and the other person playing that character does the exact opposite of what you want their character to do, it feels like we can't do what we feel like our character would do, we have to do what you feel like our character would do.

Every opinion is helpful :). And yeah, I think maybe my rps are better suited for tabletop-type roleplaying game where there is a DM and the players or something, I dunno. I always seem to loose control and go all out when I write the setting for an rp. Like, my newest Children of Krypton thread -- I must have rewritten it like four times. The first time I wrote it, it was like pages long, so I started over to tone it down, and every time it kept being like a mile long.

Heres the trick, Jeffy...

Firstly when you write out a plot, don't make it too complicated. Leave enough room for the players to add their own creativity to it. For instance, the last teen titans thread we did: The simple plot was that they were transported to our time out of Gotham City, right? Thats all you need right there and then have a discussion with all the writers and see what they want to have happen. That way everyone is involved, other wise as roleplayers we are just pawns in your game of chess and thats no fun.

Considering trying a Teen Titans thread again, but with no story plans in mind. Like, have it open where the characters action shape the story, and then keep summaries of where the rp has been in episode and season listings.
