What She Needs (Closed)

Luke followed her over the top of a climax as he emptied his loins in an almost painful spurt. He grew dizzy, and hee had to hold on to Corey for a few short seconds to steady himself, his large hands mercilessly grabbing her soft skin, slippery from sweat and water. It felt like a small eternity as he stayed inside her, his spasms slowly fading. He'd managed to hold her moaning and twitching form upright more by chance than anything else. As he gingerly withdrew he felt his dick twitch for each soft fold it hit on its way out of her vagina, it being hypersensitive after the powerful orgasm. It was almost painful, but only almost.

He sat down in the tub and pulled fox on to his lap. He held her and cuddled her and lavished her with kisses as she came down from her last orgasm.

"You beautiful, wonderful, foxy woman! I worship you, Fox!"

Corey couldn't believe the amount of sensations she received when Luke was with her. Emotions. Physical feelings she had never before experienced. It was toomxh to even process sometimes.

She collapsed into Luke's arms in the warm waters of the hot tub and laid her head against his strong shoulder. "You're gonna re-break those ribs if we keep this up" she said breathlessly. "It can't be good for you..."

Her stomach chose that precise minute to growl and she giggled. "I haven't eaten breakfast yet. There's no food here until we shop. Shall we head out to have breakfast and hit up the grocery store?"

"But I can't keep away from you, Fox. You're too damn enticing for my own good. The ribs'll mend, though."

Her grumbling stomach made him chuckle.

"Breakfast and grocery shopping sounds like a plan!"

He helped her out of the tub, but held her as she gained her footing.

"This little session we had just now? It WILL be continued!"
He kissed her and pinched her asscheek playfully.

They dressed and drove to a nearby diner for breakfast. As they perused the menu he was thinking about asking her to move together with him. They melded so effortlessly in all they did. Professionally as well as private. He looked at her. Should he? No. Best to see if they could survive this weekend without getting on each other's nerves. Then they'd see.

They hurriedly went to a smal diner and sat down to have breakfast. It was a family place and people laughed and joke with each other, makin it a warm and friendly atmosphere which Corey loved.

She was completely unaware of what Luke was thinking across the table from her.

"So what does a bear eat from breakfast when there's no fresh killed fish around?" She asked with a slight grin. She loved teasing him and loved the nickname because even though he forbid her to call him it, he WAS nothingotemthan a big teddy bear. Rough and mean looking but so love able. She smiled to herself.

"I'm gonna have a southwest omelet I think with salsa and sour cream on the side" she grinned. "I love spicy foods".

He grudgingly allowed her to use the nickname "Bear" for him as he constantly called her Fox. Fair is fair, he thought.

He ordered a plain omelette with a side of bacon and salad, then watched her intently. He felt so certain about him and her, it was almost scary.

"Listen, Fox uh, Corey... I have never had a romance quite like this" he began. "The last week has been like some magical whirlwind for me. By the looks of it, it looks like you feel the same way. Not to put words in your mouth or anything but ... now I know this is way too soon to have this talk. It's just... God! This is hard!" He clenched his fists in frustration. "I'm thinking about... no, what I'm trying to say, to ask you, is if you'd consider... that is, if we manage to live together through this week without killing each other... if we do that, is it too early to ask that we move in together?"

A rock settled in his stomach as he watched her.

Corey quietly listened as Luke stuttered his was through his question. When he finally managed to say it she was surprised- but thrilled. She thought about it for a moment instead of blurting out the first thought she had. Immediately she wanted to say yes. She was positive about them. She wouldn't have a connection like this with him if they weren't meant to be.

Was it too soon?

Maybe for some couples but for them she didn't believe so. Only one dilemma presented itself in her mind. Their jobs.

She realized she had left him sitting there in suspense. She smiled.

"I'm sorry. I'd love to move in together. Yes. We will have to come open about our relationship at work though ... Are you ready for that?"

He let out a sigh with relief at her answer. He lit up in a smile again as he spontaneously grabbed her hand and kissed it.

"I'm as ready as I'll ever be. There will be inquiries and Grimes will probably try to raise hell, but we've got him by his short and curlies anyway. It won't be easy but we'll make it work. I'm indispensable as chief of the precinct and you're indispensable as the outreach officer."

He smiled at a memory.

"To think, it's no more than a week ago today we met that kid with the submachine gun. That same evening was the first time we... you know, boxed."

There are some things you don't discuss loudly in a family restaurant.

Corey laughed when Luke mentioned boxing. "Speaking of that, after we shop did you wanna do a little boxing?" She smiled at him. "The real kind! I wanna learn more so I can be a more active player in the outreach program. I wanna be able to help those kids enjoy it as much as be already learned to".

"Then maybe we can go mini golfing with Zoe gets here. She might beat both of our rear ends" she joked, smiling at him.

"I can't wait to meet her. And to see you be a daddy. I already know without a doubt that you're probably the best daddy ever to that girl. Sea lucky to have you, Luke... So am I for that matter".

For the first time since he couldn't remember when, Luke blushed. The compliments came so freely and sincerely from this woman. He couldn't help but to feel a bit humbled by her love for him.

"And you don't realize how much you mean to me, what all of this means to me. I'd halfway given up hope of meeting another woman. Then you came along."

He grasped her hand affectionately and gave it a squeeze.

"Boxing sounds like a plan. I'll be focusing on technique as we won't be able to spar." He gingerly touched his side by way of explanation.

He smiled at the thought of Zoe on the minigolf course. He resolved there and then to let her beat him at least. His pride didn't hinge on him besting Zoe or Fox in minigolf.

Corey smiled. She did that a lot now. It seemed like she was always smiling. It didn't used to be that way. Since she was a teenager she seemed to have lost a lot of things to smile about. Except Rookie.

Before Luke the playful, goofy dog had been her sole reason for smiling. Her job could be quite depressing, even though she loved what she did and wouldn't trade it for anything. She hadn't had a significant other in years, and her family was nonexistent.

Then Luke had come along and now everything in her life just seemed right. She was truly happy; more than happy, actually. He had turned her life around.

Their food came then and they began to eat. It was the best omelet Corey had had in a long time and she moaned in delight.

"Is yours good?" she asked conversationally as they chewed.

"Best omelette I've had for some time. Bacon's delicious. Here, taste it!"

He held out a piece for her to taste and as she was about to bite down, he pulled it away, laughing. He did it a couple more times until Corey fixed him with an angry look that never quite reached her eyes. Then he relinquished. He didn't care that they were in a crowded diner, he loved to let his guard down and be playful. Until recently he'd only done that with Zoe.

"You know, we ought to take Zoe here. She loves places like these. Maybe make a day of it? Brunch first and then minigolf? That is, if we can tear her away from Rookie. I sense love at first sight there."

They finished their meals in silence, enjoying the food and each other's company.

Truth was, Corey loved being playful with Luke as well. She loved how they could just be themselves around each other. She had never had a relationship like that with anybody. It was an amazing change of pace.

She completely agreed to them taking Zoe to breakfast at the diner as well and they finished their meal. They then headed to the nearest grocery store where they stocked up on their favorite foods- many of which, they were glad to find, were the same as each others.

Once they got back and unloaded, Corey breathed a sigh of relief as she leaned back against the counter, arms crossed beneath her chest.

"We work pretty good together if you ask me" she said with a small smile
"At the precinct and here".

"Wanna box?" Her eyes lit up and she grinned broadly at him.

"You are right Fox. We DO make a good team. I will not be boxing but I will instruct you. We will warm up together, though."

His tone was all business now. He wanted her to be a good boxer. She was good with kids, and if she could have a part in teaching them then so much the better.

"Now go change!" He gave her pert bottom a *slap* to send her on her way.

He went to change himself, putting on sweatpants and one of his Army t-shirts and his jogging shoes.

Then he waited for her outside, jogging in place. They'd set off on a run along the beach first.

Corey ran to the room with a smile and changed into a pink under armor sports bra/workout shirt that left her abdomen bare, and a pair of tight fitting black yoga style pants. She laced up her matching pink running shoes and then joined Luke.

"I'm ready when you are" she said as she sauntered up to him and propped her hands on her hips. "What's first on the list, boss?" She gave him a saucy grin and waited for his answer.

Rookie was bouncing around and very have him a pat before they headed outside towards the beach which was much more filled than before. People milled about everywhere. Some lay in the sun, some swam in the ocean. Some played in the sand. It was the perfect day for anything outdoors.

"First we work up a nice sweat! Running along the beach sound okay to you?"

Without waiting for an answer he took off, but his pace wasn't so quick that she didn't catch up with him. They ran along the waters edge, quickly setling into a rhythm. Their step and breath was in synch and they quickly covered a couple of miles before deciding to turn back. Their bodies were covered by a light sheen of sweat as they returned.

Then he brought out the boxing gloves and target pads. He got further into different techniques. The difference between a jab and a proper punch, sideswipes and uppercuts was explained. He had her do a hundred of each, stopping her and correcting her if her technique was off in any way. Then he taught her the most basic guards and blocks before he went after her with the pads to test if she'd grasped the concept and the difference between a guard and a block.

When they had covered this, he called for a break. His side was throbbing with pain, and he could only repeat the old cadence about pain being weakness leaving the body so many times. Exhausted, he slumped down. Fox seemed pretty beat too, having done most of the work in this workout.

"Repeat these techniques daily, at least twenty to thirty times each day. If you mmanage more, so much the better. When boxing, you're a weapon. A weapon needs to be honed and sharpened at all times to be at its best. And the most lethal weapon in your arsenal is this." He tapped her head. "Keep that weapon primed and ready at all times and you won't fail."

Corey took to the boxing moves like a natural and she had a blast doing it, even if it did wear her out. She could tell it really pained Luke though, and that bothered her. For the rest of the week she practiced daily, sometimes twice a day, but always with Luke looking on and watching her. She refused to let him participate physically. She was making him rest his ribs as much as possible.

Finally, the day came that Zoe was to arrive. Cored dressed in a pretty black sundress that was demure enough to suit meeting a child, yet sexy enough to catch said child's father's attention. She paired it with some pink high heeled sandals that matched the small flowers scattered across the dress. Her hair was in a low, messy ponytail that both look styled and not at the same time and she looked beautiful.

"Am I good enough to meet her?" Corey asked luke with a slightly shy smile.

She seemed just a tad nervous. "You look great. She'll love you. Mind you, she's just a bit shy to start with. But she'll warm to you, I'm sure."

It was quite a drive to the kindergarten and he told her about his little princess along the way. How she loved dogs, how they were trying to wean her off diapers, how she was afraid of the dark, how much she loved Spongebob Squarepants and so on.

They pulled up to the kindergarten, and he told Corey to folloe a few steps behind. They just cleared the gate and crossed the controlled chaos of the courtyard when a high cute voice rang out: "Dadeeeee!!!" A little blonde girl with lively brown eyes and pink shorts, a white Hello Kitty t-shirt (immensely dirty) and a pair of pink converse for kids homed in on Luke like a benign missile.

He was quick enough to catch her and lift her and cuddle her before she could barrel into his hurt side. She was giggly and babbling about all that had happened during her day. He absentmindedly brushed away her hair and nodded and exclaimed as she regaled the travails of a three year old girl. She seemed to have noticed Corey looking at them. She turned to her father and asked "who's she, daddy?"

Luke looked her in the eyes and said "Zoe I'd like you to meet a very special woman. She's really neat, I think you'll like her. Let's go over and say hello to her, okay? Don't worry, I'm with you, sweetheart."

With Zoe on his arm he walked over to Corrine. "Corrine, this is Zoe, Zoe, say hi to Corrine."

Zoe looked at Corrine with big brown eyes and smiled shyly. " h'llo."

Corrine's heart immediately melted as she watched Luke interacting with his little girl. She had seen pictures of Zoe but to seethed together like this was purely magical. She lost all of her heart to Luke at that precise moment and knew he was forever the one she would want to spend her life with.

He and his adorable little girl.

As they approached Zoe said a shy hello. Corey knelt down so as not to appear so intimidating, getting eye level with the little girl.

"Hey Zoe!" She greeted enthusiastically but quietly so as not to startle her. "I am so happy to meet you. Your daddy talks about you constantly. I think he is kinda in love with you" she winked at the girl.

Zoe turned and beamed up at Luke the way only a young child could and Corey smiled as well. "Zoe I know one more someone who wants to meet you" she said softly. "His name is Rookie".

Zoe took to her at once, he could tell. And why not? Luke had learned to watch people around both kids and animals, and if animals trusted a person then chances were high that a kid would trust them too. And Rookie adored Corey, leaving Luke with little doubt about her qualifications with children.

As they drove to the house on the beach, Luke told about all the fun they would have. Zoe squealed with delight as he told about Rookie and how the house was next to the beach. Although he couldn't promise a visit from Spongebob, maybe they'd find some nice crabs?

The ride lasted just long enough for Zoe to get a little cranky, but her crankiness vanished as soon as they arrived. Her first question was "Where's Wookie? Where's the doggie?" Luke asked Corey if she please could get Rookie so he and Zoe could meet in an open area, just in case.

Corey was as excited to introduce the child and dog as the child was to meet the dog. Once they got back to the house she quickly wet to get Rookie. She made sure to play with him a bit first to get his energy out.

When they walked outside she commanded him to heel and "be calm". It was amazing. The dog instantly began to walk quietly beside her up to the little girl who was squealing with delight at the "big doggy".

Rookies tail wagged a hundred miles an hour but he remained perfectly calm, reaching out and licking her gently in the face and giving a happy WOOF. Corey beamed at Luke over the two heads in excitement. It was a perfect moment in time.

"Listen Corey, why don't you take Zoe and Rookie out for a little walk while I get started on making dinner? Zoe, you wanna go with Corey and Rookie along the beach?"

Zoe's loud "yaaaaaay, doggie and Corey" was answer enough. Before they left, Luke demanded and got a hug each from his special girls. He watched them from the kitchen window, just a little bit anxious. He had no reason to worry. Zoe's mouth went a mile a minute, no doubt regaling a tale of Spongebob or some such.

As he got started on dinner he caught a glimpse of the trio. Zoe holding Corey's hand and Rookie trotting along, guarding Zoe's flank.

A wave of relief flooded Luke then, bringing tears to his eyes. This could really work. He went back to working on dinner, another stone off his shoulders as he sang, happier than he'd been for a long time.

Corey and Zoe headed off down the beach together, with Rookie sticking close to Zoe. As a German shepherd he was instinctively protective, a herding dog. He loved children always but seemed to have a special affinity for Zoe as he didn't not leave her side.

Zoe chatted a mile a minute and made Corey laugh often. Corey in turn joked back with Zoe, and played with her, chasing her in the sand. She watched in amazement as her big, goofy, German shepherd let the girl pull on his tails, ears, lips and nose without so much as a flinch. She also watched as he stood guard over the girls when a couple of strangers got a little too close apparently, for Rookie's comfort. He never barked nor growled. He merely watched intently with ears raised and body stuff as the couple of men passed by the little girl who was happily digging in the sand.

Eventually Corey glanced at her watch.

"Hey Zoe, I bet your daddy almost has dinner ready. Whataya say we head back and see what he cooked you? I bet it's delicious".

Zoe gleefully clapped her hands and agreed with a shrieking "Daddyyyy!!!" She then took off down the beach, rookie and Corey at her heals. They reached their house and walked inside to an enticing aroma.

Zoe bounced into the kitchen, nose in the air, sniffing appreciatively. Rookie shocked Corey by completely ignoring the and instead following Zoe to the table where she sat in a chair and he by her feet.

Corey shrugged at Luke with a smile. "He has appointed himself guard dog, I think" she said softly.

Luke was pleased at how quickly Zoe took to Corey and Rookie. As she bounded into the kitchen he lifted her and gave her a quick peck on her cheek, eliciting giggles from his little princess. "Did you have a good time with Corey and Rookie?"

"Yes..." and she was off again, telling about Rookie being a good dog and how she'd almost created a WHOLE sandcastle and a myriad of other things. Luke just looked at Corey and smiled indulgently.

Then Zoe wanted down, and she was impatient about it. She squirmed and accidentally let out a kick, hitting Luke's bruised ribs spot on. The kick was so unexpected and the pain so acute Luke sank to his knees. Zoe got scared and started to cry, thinking she'd hurt him. Luke gasped that it wasn't her fault and that it wasn't that bad really, but for a few minutes she was inconsolable. Luke plopped down on the floor with her and held her, assuring her it was okay.

Rookie came up to them both, whining and tentatively licking Zoe to comfort her. After a while her crying subsided and he managed to tickle a smile back on her face. And when he asked if she was ready for dinner her usual enthusiastic "yaaaaay!" greeted him.

Corey watched in horror as Luke sank to his knees. She was by his side instantly so as to make sure he didn't accidentally, god forbid, drop the little girl but she should have known he would never do that no matter how much pain he was in.

After a while, they explained that daddy got hurt at work, that his pain was not Zoe's fault at all and she seemed to be pacified. They all sat down at the little table and began to eat the delicious dinner Luke had fixed which was, of course, a favorite of Zoe's.

They all laughed and joked amongst each other and it felt like they were a family sitting there. The moment touched corey so much that she was dismayed to find tears in her eyes. Quickly, she dismissed herself and went to the other room to in order to compose herself.

She was staring out the window at the ocean with a look of almond shock upon her face when Luke found her.

They were having a great time during dinner, laughing and joking and babbling about all and sundry when Corey excused herself and left the table. Luke could have sworn he saw tears in her eyes, something Zoe confirmed by saying "Corey sad?" Luke went over to Zoe and said "Now honey, I want you to stay here and watch Rookie for me, allright?" I'll be in the next room, just call me if you need me, okay Zoe-bear?" She nodded gravely then turned around and waggled a finger at Rookie as she in a serious tone told him: "You be good now, Wookie!"

Luke smiled and entered the living room. Corey stood there, her back to him.
"Everything all right there, Corey? Only, you seemed upset just now."

He went over to her and held her gently.
