What type of Golfer are you?

A nine irons general range is 130 max. I've seen some semi-pros kill one to almost 150 which shocked me.

That I know I just wanna get it over the trees

I always have good luck with a 9 for some reason prolly better with a 3 or 4 but I'm not using a driver

I was wondering when you'd bless this thread.

Fucking pussies want to lay up. It's only 234 and you need a hook to hit the water. Take your chances with the beach and hit a 3 or 5 wood. Keeps it low and you can cover the distance without too much of a slice and no hook unless you're a complete hack.
At the very least you put it within 30 of the pin any any direction.

I am a complete hack so count me out. I am postively a death hazard to others when I play.

2 iron...set up with ball 2" back in my stance...go straight for it. It will roll onto the green

I'd try a high teed 4 Wood and drop in between the beach and the Ocean, if not on the apron, but, being it's the 18th, it would be a sure over shoot or require a life vest at best, damn G and T's.

Don't see a lot of 4's in bags. Once in a while but not too often.

I would just swing and pray............ that I don't get hit by the ricochet off of the tree when I pull it.

Florida Flea market, almost matched my set and for five bucks I couldn't pass it up, used it a few times, and, well lets just say, I should have got the putter.

Normally a layup.
Having a good balanced swing that day - 3 wood on the green.

You're not clearing 235 over a tree with a 5 wood and your chances of sticking the 3 wood and keeping the ball on the green are pretty slim.

A smart golfer would lay up, chip the ball close and one putt.

I shot three over Sunday. One over the creek, one over the fence and one over the barn.

You can put it in under the tree or fade around it with a 3 or 5 wood. You can also do it with a 2 or 3 iron but you won't get the distance and it's not like anyone can hit a 2 iron anyway.
Playing to stick it on the green on a hole like that for an amateur is a fools errand. Get it close. Not a lay up though. Not at that distance.
I assume it's a par 3 so you can get within 20-30 yards, run it up to the cup and tap in for par.

I have just started to play golf. My friends call me Master of Divots. If I even hit the ball it is by accident and hazards acts as powerful magnets on my ball.

I would hit my 3 wood, aim at the back left bunker, to carry the water in front of the back pin is 234 would only be about 200 yards.

I carry my 3 wood about 220, easy choice.
