Preferably roll over and go back to sleep. Perhaps repeat, perhaps read, but eventually get up and go pee. The way I figure it, as a farm boy, and as a farmer, I spent too much of my life as a slave to a schedule because domestic animals are creatures of habit. There were other jobs after that where my boss set my schedule. What's the point of early retirement if you can't defy schedules? Schedules and routines are for people who want or need to be productive. I want to do things I feel like doing. Why can't my days be different from each other? More often than not my motivation for getting up is because it will help my sinuses drain and feel better. Shave? I'll get around to it sometime this week. And another thing. I eat what and when I feel like eating. I don't just eat because I can't make time later. Eating on a schedule is what made those farm animals grow big and fat fast. You know what else I don't do as a retiree? Keep a log for my vehicle.
