Meanwhile m, the red States will have a more hands off approach, with lower numbers of deaths due to lesser density and less population.

Less dense areas will be able to safely resume production where blue areas will not. Blue areas suffering more will not only affect public sentiment it's also going to affect how much cash they have to give Dems.

Alas, this kind of electoral hostage-taking isn’t new. In the months before the 1860 election, southern leaders and newspapers warned in explicit terms that electing Lincoln would mean disunion, perhaps even war. “Let the consequences be what they may—whether the Potomac is crimsoned in human gore, and Pennsylvania Avenue is paved ten fathoms deep with mangled bodies,” declared one Georgia newspaper. “The South will never submit to such humiliation and degradation as the inauguration of Abraham Lincoln.”

Most northerners thought this was just bluster, that Lincoln’s election would never lead to actual war and bloodshed. They badly underestimated how lightly the South regarded the Union, and what southerners would do to the country to be rid of it. They should have taken the South at its word.

Now, 160 years later, we face what could be a similar crisis. There’s a rich irony in the elite assumption that post-election violence will come from “right-wing militias” or “vigilante groups,” when the last three months of rioting and looting by Antifa and Black Lives Matter activists have in some ways been a dress rehearsal for what the left is planning in November. Since before Trump was even elected the democrats and willing shills in the press have done everything in their power to separate Trump from his "followers." They've done everything in their power to malign, undermine, humiliate, embarrass, and sabotage Trump. And when those efforts fail they attack his "followers" as being ignorant, racist, yada-yada, everyone knows the drill by now. Then they sit back and openly discuss why it is that Trumps base in virtually unshakeable. They just can't figure it out. Every stunt they've pulled would have destroyed any past president and decoupled him from his "followers."

The answer is simple. Trump is the follower. He is the sock puppet of the people that elected him. He is the first president in decades that has actually gone into office and followed through, in spite of the bureaucracy, on his campaign promises. He is the surrogate of his voters. I know that this may be hard for you Trump haters to understand, but when an employee does what you expect of him/her they automatically garner the loyalty and support of their employer. Trump knows this and as such is playing the role of the "good employee."

So perhaps you now understand why the Trump "followers" are so unshakeable in spite of all of the attacks. And for Gods sake, exactly how stupid do you have to be to attack the individuals whose minds you want to change? Do you really think that tactic is going to win you support?
