Whatcha eating/cooking?

King Ranch Casserole for dinner - we ordered out to support one of our local restaurants.
 
It's Friday so probably something on the order of a squished fish patty on a bun.
 
Olive Garden carry out. Seafood Alfredo. 2 bottles of wine. Could get drunk out tonight.
 
But the cap is the best part of a ribeye. ☹️ I can’t wait until the Burch opens again. They sometimes have ribeye cap as a special.

I do agree, but, the outer fat (when cooked right) gives some pretty amazing flavor. Maybe you eat some of the fat? Maybe you don't? Either way, I'm a firm believer that fat is flavor, even if not ingested. Of course, being from the Midwest, we are raised to drink at least 2 cups of lard a day. Keeps things lubricated.

since i can't sleep i decided to do a little laundry and make some strawberry chocolate cupcakes !
 
4lbs of boneless pork shoulder, homemade creamy mashed potatoes, steamed mixed veggies.

I just got around to starting this tonight. The shoulder has been in a dry rub for a couple days and just started cooking. Added some fresh basil, thyme, and rosemary. I wish you could scratch and sniff this post :cool:
 
Chicken nuggets from thigh meat, breaded and fried in peanut oil, oven fries.
 
Hot Italian sausage & egg sammiches. Breakfast style for dinner eats never not slaps. :D
 
Loaded baked potato. Green onion, grated cheese and ham. Good eats. :cool:
 
There is a whole sect of people that think the McFish is made in the kitchen of God.

I ain't 1 of them.

Not that my squished fish patty on a bun wasn't frozen at some point, but a McFish? Nope.
 
Chicken soup.

A whole chook, some thyme from the garden. Onion, celery etc.

Smells amazing.
 
Made pizza bagels lol forced isolation brings out my inner high schooler with no parental guidance.
 
Spicy brats with onions and brown mustard on toasted french rolls, cucumber salad with tomatoes and red onions from the garden drenched in Romano Italian dressing.
 
Why is is always "Left" overs? Why can't it be "Right" overs?

Throwing a chunk of beast into the oven soon. Maybe. I don't really feel like cooking tonight.

Well, this is left over BBQ, so its alright by me.

This meal thing is getting old.
