First glad to see that you are alright Michael and I'm sure that where ever you are posting now they are benefiting from it.
Ever been to a party that the kids had while the parents were gone. It all starts out as fun but by the end of the night it is chaos with people fighting and breaking things. Well this is the end of the party and the parents are due back real soon.
It happens every so often even here. With so many high strung and intelligent people they get woundup and don't know when to quit. Throw into the mix a few who just want to start trouble and walla. Unfortunately good folks get tired of it or get their feelings hurt and leave.

There's no single answer to the broad question of "where did they all go?". As Fallen pointed out, they all have their own reasons for not posting lately. Anyone who sticks around here for a while (or any board, really) will notice that people come and go - it's the nature of things. I know many of you guys visit several sites in your web time, and a certain times some will be more compelling than others. Sometimes our "real" lives get busy and we don't spend as much time online as we once did.
There's also the unfortunate situation (which happens on all BB's, and in "real life" social situations as well) where people get upset and angry, fight on the BB, then are either so angry they don't want to come back or say things they regret and are embarrassed about coming back. This is sad, and I wish it didn't happen.
Manu and I have discussed it at length, and there's no real way to stop people from butting heads short of deleting posts and requiring people to "play nice". I know the recent conflict makes many of you uncomfortable, but I have no interest in being playground monitor.
You're all adults. This board can be incredible - some of the poitical/sexual/whatever discussions we've had here have reached heights of class, intelligence, and wit that are unmatched anywhere on the web (I'd bet). But we also hit lows...
Guys, there are obviously people posting here just to get a rise out of you. If someone posts some assholish comment that's obviously irrelevant, rude and immature, there's no need to work yourself into a tizzy over it. There are people out there who post just to piss others off. When you respond to them, you're giving them pleasure while depriving yourself of the fun of the board (unless you like flame wars - in which case, go for it).
It's all up to you people... If you want a war board, keep it going as it has lately. If you want a sexy, fun place to post, you have to put the effort in, and that means resisting the impulse to respond to every retarded insulting post you see.
I mean, for chrissake, people... This is supposed to be FUN! Quit being so goddamn serious all the time! Relax...

We get on without you, Helle, but barely! Shift magazine is some lifestyle zine - they have a web counterpart but it doesn't appear to have the same articles as the print version. hey've been around for years andd years, but I've only recently been turned on to the zine. The issue with our blurb (March 2000) also had a fashion shoot with a guy that looked EXACTLY like Bill Gates... I was amazed that they'd corralled The Evil One into posing for a fashion spread, till they fessed up and admitted (in the next article) that he was in fact a Gates lookalike. I found the issue by chance in the 7-11 down the road from my house, but I think you can also order it from their site, which is at: http://www.shift.com/
