Pissed off, I am a conservative now, but I don't condone what I saw today. On the train there was this tall Spanish dude in a MAGA hat talking to his friend. Later on a Latina who wasn't born here, was selling candy with her baby strapped to her back. I have no issues with the hat, but he starting speaking loudly about immigration with vulgarity, in front of this lady.


In no way is it OK to attack someone, who's working with a baby on their back, no matter what they are or their beliefs. That mfer is an asshole, have some fucking class!!!!

Trump and the magats deliberately stoked hate and incited this behavior in the hope of a few extra votes. It’ll take years for it to ebb back to previous levels, if it ever does

Hate incidents have increased in line with Trump’s more notable instances of incitement; that’s a fact. There have always been idiots. Now more of them think a former and future president supports them, so feel emboldened to behave like that; and fewer people report it so it becomes normalized, perpetuating a very vicious circle
And the hat is significant; idiots like that feel it’s a badge of honor that gives permission to harass people
And outta curiosity - whatever makes you presume this innocent person wasn’t born here?

You know my parents are immigrants, I was raised with immigrants, worked with immigrants, lived with immigrants, speak the same language, know when I first saw them around. It's kind of obvious for me, I know my own kind.
