What's cookin', good lookin'? Part II

I bought you the link to Amazon. Don't be greedy. Besides, you'd just use it to grind up 5,000 year old wood chips to make Hairloom Fat-Free Gluten-Free Paleo Oak Chip Cookies, and why would I want to be an accessory to that crime against humanity? :p

And it's heirloom. Just FYI. :D

Thanks to CnC for the pie crust recipe !! My first apple pie with a homemade crust It looks like crap but It's gonna be delicious ;-)

I'm curious if you used a teaspoon of vodka in your pie crust recipe? A pastry chef gave me that tip years ago. (Don't worry, the alcohol bakes off)(dammit!)
I've found that it makes the crust really tender but a little harder to handle. Even harder if the vodka is also added to a glass of OJ for the chef also.
It helps to chill the dough for an hour before rolling it.

No vodka in my pie crust recipe :)
I might try that sometime though..
Bourbon in a chocolate pecan pie crust?

Anyone have a favorite salad they'd care to share involving cranberries, cheese, and pecans? :)

I'd skip the salad and cranberries and simply eat the cheese and nuts with figs or pear. :p Are you planning to use fresh cranberries? And what type of cheese?

I'm making moose meatballs with pearl barley, rowan berry sauce and some veggies.

I'm not using cranberries but this year I'm making a salad topped with pears, pecans and goat cheese. I like using cranberries in broccoli salad, maybe that's an idea?

LOL! That sounds like an excellent (and delicious) plan. Unfortunately I need a salad. :p

Hmmm. Dried, I think. Easier. And probably feta or something similar.

Pears and pecans? That...sounds really good!

I'm at a loss for a Christmassy salad, hence the cranberries. I've found one that looks tasty, and, more important, simple, but I'm always just a little doubtful if I, or someone, hasn't done a taste test.

Still. It's just a salad. What could go wrong? Right? :p

Salads do tend to work out no matter what you put on them. I'm curious how the saltiness of the feta would taste with the sweetness (usually sweetened) dried cranberries. Cranberries are pretty yummy in salads and I love adding them so I don't think you'll go wrong with it. :)

We had an amazing beef roast, green beans, mashed potatoes, and corn. I'm so full!

I'm exhausted... ham, salmon, duchess potatoes, and panna cotta plus other things. I'm ready to sleep for days.
