If you don't mind my asking, do you always eat potatoes with macaroni? I grew up poor and Italian, and times were never that tough.![]()
I wouldn't call my lasagne macaroni. I know macaroni as a pasta shape you eat with cheese sauce or a disgusting pudding I was forced to eat at school, whereas lasagne, to me, is pasta sheets sandwiched with minced beef and covered in a cheese sauce.
Lasagne, salad, chips and garlic bread is one of my all time favourite meals - accompanied by a couple of bottles of wine.
