Followed by strawberries and ice cream.

I'll be over for coffee and dessert, thank you. ;) :)

The home made mustard mayo sounds interesting though. But not with dessert. :D

Steak, have yet to decide how to prepare it; and wild rice. For dessert-ice cream sandwich.

That's okay honey, you can still come. Just bring your own 'all meat' hot dog with you... :D

How to prepare it? Grill it! :)

No more grilled steak. The last steak I had was charred on one side due to an unexpected flare up. Although it was worth it to see my dad's arm hair seriously singed. :D (He wasn't hurt in any way, so it can be funny.)

Flare ups are always expected, especially with certain cuts like rib eyes, which are well-marbled. You should have moved it right away, no char.

Singed hair? That ain't a flare up, that's a bon fire. LOL! Unless he tried to move it by hand instead of using tongs.

Seriously, if you ever have any grilling questions, PM me. I'm soon to have my own grilling TV show on the Food Network. :D in my dreams, but I'm pretty good.

Okay, it was closer to setting the house on fire then it was to a flare up. The bad part was Mom insisted on serving them anyway.

Now I have a craving for steak that isn't burned on one side, not done enough on the other, and nicely pink in the middle.

I'm an Iowa girl. I don't need help grilling a steak.

Don't need help? Yup...I can tell from this post. ;) :)

So, put up or shut up: grill it, Iowa girl. And post the results, with pics. :D

I wasn't the one grilling the steaks that almost set a small town on fire.

I just had to choke down the results. :(

Oooh. Maybe kabobs instead.

Ah, thanks for clarifying.

I do boneless sirloin kabobs a lot. Good choice. :)

Today I threw a Birthday party for my girls. we had chicken(of course) Spanish rice, sloppy joe's pizza and so much more :D

Whatever I decide I should probably start thinking about it a little more seriously. Maybe a nice pepper crust?

Sorry, I logged off before you posted. A pepper crust sounded good.

For a last-minute deal, I like to marinate the beef in olive oil and lemon juice with some grated garlic, rosemary and a bit of oregano. Up to an hour in the marinade works fine, also gives you time for a cocktail or 3. ;)

Going to a cookout today, just hot dogs and hamburgers at a friend's. Since he's grill-challenged, I'll probably be pressed into service. :)

Going to a cookout and have no idea what's the main course. I am bringing salad and baked Vidalia onions.

Extravagantly elaborate sausage sandwiches with all the trimmings.

Just had a really good steak plainly pan fried rare served with jersey royal new potatoes, mixed salad, stilton cheese and sour cream with chives as a dressing

GU Key lime pie for pudding later when it's gone down a bit:D
