Grilled pork steaks and corn on the cob.....made Texas potatoes.....yum....:)

What time should I be there?

crvy is gonna be proud!!!

:D

:D

Let's both go! Can you imagine how much trouble we could get mwmnpa in if we BOTH showed up?

I'm going to grill-roast brined chicken breasts and am making an orzo and roasted veggie with a white balsamic vinaigrette salad...though the salad may change if my mood changes. :)

Oooooooooh you sweet crvy woman!!

Lets, see just how much trouble we CAN get into.

I'll swing by and pick you up, we'll hit the liquor store for some wine then be on our way ....

:D

Sure, drop on by! I'll just love sleeping in my car after being thrown out. :D

I did swap out the spinach with green beans tossed in tomatoes, olive oil and garlic. :)

I did pork steaks for the first time the month before. Didn't realize they were a St Louis thing til I saw it on BBQ University. I found a recipe for the red sauce too. Good stuff!

Tonight: Grilled boneless chicken (brined of course) w/Malaysian hot pepper sauce, the rest of the green beans, and grilled corn.

That's the second offer I've had in the past month to move to TX. :D

Corn is in season right now, and locally grown. It's cheap and delicious, and great on the grill. In a few weeks, we won't be eating it until next year.

I don't know what TX potatoes are either. Good question. If you get a chance, do try the grilled pork steaks.

So that should tell you something pa, yes?

Ahhhhhhh gotcha!!

I'm having steak tonight so the pork chops will have to wait.

Although with my dinner I am totally rebelling against crvy and NOT having ANY veggies ...

I feel so naughty

;)

Why would anyone want this mill town rat in their state is beyond me. But I am a sucker for that TX accent. ;)

PA corn can be a meal by itself. Just not a healthy one.

Pork steaks are not like pork chops. They're cut from the shoulder, kind of similar, but different if that makes sense. I'm an aficionado of BBQ and grilling (two different things, btw) and appreciate the different styles. I think I make a damn good brisket.

So, not eating veggies makes you feel naughty...LMAO! :)

Rib-eyes on the grill, buttered corn, and augratin taters.
I'm just hoping this quesy stomach lets me enjoy it. :(

I thought it would be nice to hear what everyone is eating for dinner?

Tonight I'm making Grilled chicken, with red potatoes and french style green beans and a glass of white wine :)

So what's for dinner??

Tonight I'm making tater tot casserole. Don't know what it is? Here is recipe. fry ground beef and put in baking pan then put tater tots on top and mix. Add shreaded cheese mix again then a layer of cheese on top. Bake till tater tots are crispy and it's done. Great, quick meal kids love!

Mmmm...tater tots...one of my favorite most unhealthy foods... :D

I've had that too. Love it.

Awwwwww now I'm sure you're far from a rat let alone a mill town rat.

As for the accent ... it is kinda cool huh? ;)

Don't you feel naughty when you don't eat yours? I can't be the only one ...

The crvyone would not like the lack of veggies in your dish darlin ...

Be prepared to have something placed in your permanent records.

;)

I had a salad with spinach, romaine lettuce, avocado, flax seeds, tomatoes, cucumbers, mushrooms, grilled asparagus and chicken breasts tossed with olive oil and extra virgin olive oil.

My family's variation of this is: mix some frozen or canned veggies with the beef and a can of cream of mushroom soup and some black pepper, then layer on the cheese and the tots on top and bake until crispy. And yep, it IS good.

TX accents are AWESOME, which is why I'm so glad to be from there. Now. By decree of PTK and Ms. T.

I can't be the veggie nazi. I just can't. :D Except for mwmnpa, who really needs to have a lot of notes placed in his permanent file.
