GEEZ!!!! I was watching the news one day,(which is something I rarely do,)and they had a story on that kid that is in a coma after a shark bite him. And this one elderly guy,(some Custo type,)was saying that swimming with sharks is a beautifl thing. To me, the guy has a few screws loose.

I commend you for your courage. I'd be nervous if I were around a shark. I remeber the first time a saw "Jaws." Scared the SHIT,(pardon the expression,) out of me. Must have taken ALOT of balls,(pardon the expression,)to do that.

The actual story is funny: I was teaching a Canadian woman I'd met how to snorkel (complex endeavor, eh?), and we'd hired a boat to take us out. She was floating around, happily enough, and then I saw two barracuda next to me. I went near the boat to ask if the barracuda might pose a problem, and they said no.
Then I saw about 5 long, gray thingies under us, and I asked if there were sharks here, trying not to shout. They asked how many fins, and I told them, and they cracked up: "Yeah, they're sharks." So I asked if they were dangerous, still keeping my voice low, and they said probably not. So we stayed cool, and the woman only found later that we were amidst sharks. Nothing heroic. The truth is that they're really not very dangerous. I've been in greater danger from rabid raccoons, gun-wielding club patrons, German cops, cell-phone drivers, etc.

Sharks Are Doing Very Unshark Like Things This Swimming Season, Like banding together in different species!
This In Itself Is Quite Unheard Of.
