What's your best attribute?

The lights started to finally flash on when the poets pointed out the poetry in my attempts at straight prose. Pretty much got set free.
Oh, and clarity.

I was gonna say my best attribute is in my av.
Even as a writer, that is probably still valid.
That's a pretty safe statement (you'd have to be a HELL of a writer to make it otherwise). :p

Mine would have to be the storyline. I only have a half-dozen stories up, and all did really well. People seem to like them, and it certainly isn't my flair for descriptiveness.

My ability to restrict some stories to fifty words...

...and some to fifty pages.

The ability to write characters that people either relate to and/or are attracted to, physically or mentally. This is all based on reader feedback.

My personal best attribute is the ability to make chocolate disappear, and in large volumes.

I can rarely restrict sentences to fifty words, so kudos. :p

I was going to say long sentences, but flavortang beat me to it, so I guess I'll say typing. I can type with my eyes closed. Watch this:

Thank you very much

The thing I have the most fun with -- not that I use it all that much, is "one sided" dialog -- you hear what the character is saying on the phone, but not what is being said to them. That has to be inferred.

As a writer, what do you do best? Metaphors? Descriptions? Poems? Fiction? Explain....

I'll start. I think I use metaphors effectively and I like to try to weave as many as possible into my stories. I don't think I'm a very good poet. But, I'm a decent fiction writer.

I think the most consistent feedback I've received is that people can "see" what is happening in my stories, that they seem real. Some people think I have a good sense of humor, but I think that is just the realism.

Bill Cosby once said something to the effect of, "I don't try to be funny, I try to be honest."

Apparently my stories are all infused with 'love'. *shrug*.

Being a poet by preference, my prose writing tends to have poetic overtones in use of language, phrasing.

Whether it's true or not, I leave entirely up to the readers.
