"My uncle got attacked today at the church, and amelia came, we were supposed to have dinner." he said in pain "I was late, and amelia arrived to find the church under siege." he said, livid "IF ONLY I HAD BEEN EARLIER, I COULD HAVE SAVED HIM!!!!" he roared in the pain and rage of a warrior whos failed his duty.
Elizabeth looked surprised at Dahmnall. He seemed like such a quiet guy.
"I'm worried about Amelia. Six months ago her partner went missing and I'm worried that who ever got Detective Fry got her too. It doesn't make sense that she would be in an alley right after getting out of the hospital. Was she hurt in the fight?"
"Tell me what? You know what happened to her? Yes, you should tell me." Elizabeth and looked at both of them starting to get angry because they were keeping something from her about Amelia.
"Alright calm down lass." Dahmnall said "I am a hunter, and my people are at war." he said "My uncle was a slayer as was my entire family. We slay vampyres." he said knowing she wouldnt believe him "Kyrev here is a vampyre, and so is the lunatic bitch Lorien back there." He stopped the car and turned to Elizabeth pulling off the headband over his eye. He showed her the empty socket. "Last night i was involved in a battle where i lost my eye. Ami was with me. Last night i told her about vampyres and our secret war. She caught me with my weapons, and demanded an explanation." He said replacing the headband. "Vampyres attacked the church. they couldn't get into the sanctuary so they decided to burn it. One of them shot my uncle, and they shot at Ami. My hunch is some vampyres decided to get Ami to get at me." he said "They aint terrible fond of ol' Dahmnall. They get that way when you've dusted as many as I have."
Kyrev sat quietly in the car as Dahmnall explained the situation to Elizabeth. Maybe she truly didn't know about vampires, and what happened to her sister? Well, after this, she would know, whether she wanted to or not. He smiled slightly at Dahmnall's last comment. "Indeed, and a good job I'm not vengeful. And I'm glad to see Dr Constable was able to keep you alive".
He turned his attention to Elizabeth who'se company, he had to admit, he had started growing a little fond of. He bowed his head slightly. "I apologise for keeping you in the dark about my true nature Elizabeth. It is true, I am Vampyr, but not all of us are like in the stories" He reached into his pocket and pulled out Amelia's phone, handing it back to her. "So don't worry. I don't bite." He cst a glance over at Lorien, then back again. "And I won't let you get bitten if I can help it"
It was true. A good, solid link to Officer Amelia, and ansers. If he had to, he'd make sure that Lorien fed from him, to spare another
Elizabeth looked at Dahmnall and Kyrev like they were crazy until Dahmnall showed her the empty socket where his eye once was. She stifled a gasp and looked away. Unsure of how to react she took Amelia's phone back and nodded her head, trying to process what she had been told.
Laughing her wild laugh, Lorien had to say something.
"Hey, Im not a vampire. Well, yes of course I AM a vampire but also a hunter dear girl and I do not intend to feed from you. I am not a crazy bitch as Dahmnall likes to throw around, dont ya big man?" she said. Again laughing that high pitched laugh.
Calming a bit she spoke again.
"Oh, yall are so good for a laugh. I tell ya. Oh my. I do have some important information for you ol grumpy pants Dahm. I was at the church when the assholes attacked. I tried my best to take the ones in the front out. As soon as I drained the first one something happened. I went wild. Almost violently wild. I wanted human flesh. I wanted fresh blood. Then, it started to burn me. I was literally curning from the blood in my system. When I saw you and Alaric in the park, I was in such a state. I have never in all my years walking this earth felt anything so close to a sun death as that. It is something in their blood. Something, something very deadly" she said. Her voice now calm and coldly calculated.
She watched the faces of those in the car. Yeah, she knew they thought her crazy, but she was an old vampire. She had seen things with Cecillia and most importantly, done things with her no one else could have been strong enough to do.
"Cecillia was the facilitator in my becoming, but, the pain and death with which that woman dealt out was enough to make me stop feeding on humans. In the 250 years I have walked, I have only fed on one human and that was the night I became. I have walked a path as narrow as an ant trail my lovelies. I feed on the derelict vampires and those that need to be taken out. What I saw when my head cleared, thanks to ole grumpy pants Dahm, was Dracius. Not in any particular form. But his evil" she said. The silence after she had spoken enveloped them like a blanket. It was heavy, but she had said what needed to be said. It was out there. Now they would have to deal with it.
Kyrev had sat, silently listening to Lorien's story. It was remarkably familiar to him. It shadowd his own existance, although from a slightly different angle. She said she did not feed from humans, and that she hunted vampires as well as being one. And advantage, to be sure...
Dahmnall's question braught his mind back to the present moment. "Ah, yes, well it was halfway down the alley directly opposite the hospital doors"
He looked over at Lorien again, and reached out, putting his hand on her shoulder. "You're not the only one, you know"
Dahmnall parked the car in the alley and got out grabbing his weapons. "Lets see what we can find out." He started looking around, for any evidence and it caught him. "Vampyres" he said spitting in disgust. He lit a cigarette, "kyrev, lorien come out here please."
Sylvia ran Leola's bath then headed out of the room towards Fry's room, well, Fry's old room. She stepped inside and picked up some of his belongings as well as a small box from under the bed.
She then left the room and headed down the hall to Amelia's room and knocked on the door quietly.
Kyrev gently squeezed Lorien's shoulder. "We will talk about the vitae later"
Opening the door of the car, he stepped out and walked over to where Dahmnall was standing. It seemed that he might have found something in amongst the rubble. "What is it you have found?"
*******
It had taken some time, but Dr Constable had been able to stabalise his patient. Now all that was required was for Father Patrick to wake up. No doubt he would be in alot of pain, but that was just a sign that he was still alive.
"I haven't found anything, but my aura tells me their were vampyres here." Dahmnall said "Do either of you count psychic powers among your dark gift? Or do you know about any new Vampyre Lords around that might want to make a name for themselves by taking me down?"
Kyrev frowned. Vampires were here besides himself and Lorien? That would probably explain the distinct lack of blood. Humans generally tended to leave alot of blood around when fightingeach other.
"No. To both of your questions. I've lived like a hermit up until now, and don't know any of the Vampyr eliete here"
Pedro's body crumbled to ash in Austin's arms. The crack of his neck and the final twichings Pedro offered as the Final Death claimed him did not soothe Austin's concerns one bit. Pedro's report, while detailed..or reasonably so, was not good news for him.
The priest was not dead, or not confirmed so anyway, and most of his hit team was dead instead. The church fire was already playing across the television news channels and there were more reports of vampire and hunter activity springing up everywhere...Activity which was not controlled by them.
Master Dracius would not be pleased....and that was not a comforting thought to Austin.
He tapped at a button underneath his desk and shortly afterwards, one of his 'formen' came up.
"I want everything moved tonight got it? Tell the labor teamsters I'll authorize double overtime, just get it done!"
The forman nodded and left. Austin sat, thinking about what needed to be done still. Just off to one side, the wind stirred by the office celing fans lazilly stirred the scattered ash pile on the floor.
For reasons he didn't know, or really care about, Sanchez had been following the car as it's four occupants, two of which were vampires, sped around town before stopping at the hospital. Two people climbed out and moved into an alleyway, while a third stood by the car. She seemed a little familiar. Something that tugged at his memorey. But it was to far away right now.
Pedro Sanchez gripped his AK and slowly grinned, before leaping off the building he was on. He moved swiftly through the air, before his feet touched down on the car's roof, causing it to cave slightly, but not rupture. He sqatted down, certain he had everyone's attention now. "Oi oi, what's goin' on 'ere then eh?"
Elizabeth waited in the car, nervous after Dahmnall said that there were vampyres and asked Kyrev and Lorien to join him. She looked around at the alley that she had run into Kyrev in and that her sister had vanished from. She just started to roll down the window to hear what they were talking about when she let out a scream at the bang from the roof. She looked up and noticed that something had dented the top of the car and looked over at Dahmnall and Kyrev. Dahmnall pulled out his gun and Elizabeth ducked down in her seat to avoid getting hit.
Amelia covered Fry's body with a blanket and moved the girls into the bathroom. She could hear them crying in there when she heard a knock on the door.
Giddian slipped back into the darkened streets. The weapons he carried had started to weigh him down and he needed to get back to his house before he was stopped for suspcios behavior. That or if he was attacked, he would not have the speed to threw down some of the weapons and then to turn and defend himself.
Sighing, he slung one of the blades back over his shoulders. It had started to slip back down between his shoulder blades and was getting uncomfertable. He quickly tightened the small strap on it so it would be unable to fall back down pinching his nerves again. The one strap was a black color and the rest of the straps were either of crimson color or a dark blue color. They all stood out aginst his white t-shirt.
The four blades varied in size. The one with the black strap was the longest and was almost as tall as he was. The silver in it weighed him down the most aginst the other three. One of the crimson straps held a blade that was as long as his forearm, and the other crimson strap held one that was a long as his palm twice over. The blue stapped ones were of the same size, which was half as long as the black straped one.
He paused at the park for a few minutes and rested aginst the park bench letting his weight off his back for only a breif second. He wiped his brow as sweat had started to pour down it. "Didn't think they would be smart enough to stock up like this...good thing I found them..." He muttered to himself.

Miyu slipped back out of the house. The street she was on seemed empty for the moment which was just as well. She needed to get down to the blood bank and somehow get a few more pouches of blood. She had ran out the day before and not taken the time to get a few more. THis was bad. Real bad. She had not feed in one entire day and her body was growing weary. She rubbed her face quickly and jogged over to the bus station. Then cursed looking at the time. The last bus had already come. Sighing, she headed off to the blood bank.
Pedro Sanchez grinned manically as the human ahead of him pulled out a gun and opened fire. He continued to grin as the slug caught him in the head, knocking his back and off of the car, landing on the hard ground with a thud

Kyrev frowned as he saw the other vampire land on the car, before getting hit in the head and falling backwards. Was it dead? He didn't know. So, he took a step forwards. "Elizabeth! Come here, quickly!"
