The heart, the emotions, and the sensations we receive from our various dealings with others, are the prime focus of the relationship between us and others.* We always judge people based on how they make us feel at first glance, or at hearing their first utterances to us.* We use our emotions about certain things as the engine that runs our action, reaction, and interaction.*
This can be a dangerous thing to do, when we are not in complete possession of our emotional states. But, those who can keep their emotions in check, often find that they are served well by the use of the heart as the mediator between the head and the hands.*
The hands wish always to be doing. The head is always analyzing and placing preconditions on our responses to stimuli.* But, when the heart is put in play, it can either drive us to our shining moments or our greatest defeats.
No two hearts are exactly alike.* And so, we must accept at times, that our use of the heart may not have on the other the effect we most hope.* When this happens, we must understand that our heart is not somehow the less, but that the other heart was not prepared to accept our offering.*
And in that rare case when two hearts beat in perfect unison, we should commit it to memory and cherish it for as long as we live.*This in't always about sexual or romantic relationships.
I find increasingly, as I get older, that my emotions often override what should be a logical decision. Some would say that I have become more passionate about certain things. But, when is passion enough? When should I just run with my feelings? When should I just let logic and thought give way to running after what I desire?
I would love to hear your experiences.
