When RP takes control IC thread

The Sages & Jasleth

A dark-skinned dwarf, his beard decorated with jeweled beads answered Skyler. "Blood Protector, we can explain somewhat, though we may not reveal all yet or jeapordize the future we hope to bring about." He gestured to the sky overhead, "The stars name you as the Blood Protector." "Blood will ever be your curse and your power in this world, yet you are destined to wield it to defend your companions." "More than that, I cannot say at this time."

The youth made of shadows spoke now, "The Eyes of Doom can pierce the viel of time to see possible futures, but he beleives that only evil will come, so that is all he sees, and he unknowingly bends his will to bring it about." "Much of what was befallen you has occured as it did because he believed the doom he saw so fervently."

A lean, whip-cord muscled man with a monkey's tail nodded. "The Elf Born of Man's name has already been shown clearly." His eyes, black as coal, fell on Athyna. "The Shackled Archer is weighed down by her past, and by unclear loyalties." "She listens to them and so casts her heart, and her fate, in chains harder than iron."

Suddenly, the assembled Sages took a sharp intake of breath and looked up at the perfect mirror of the night sky far above them. Their expressions were curious, then wondering, and then became the emotionless masks they had worn when the companions appeared in the chamber.

Stepping out of this air, were the necromancer and her three guards came intot he room. As soon as they appeared, the red haired boy chanted, "The Queen of the World comes to the Lodge of the Sages." "By her side, The Mute Who Speaks, The Blind Man Who Sees, and The Deaf Man Who Sings." "They come seeking not knowledge, but counsel only of their path."

"Ah," came the reply from dozens of voices as one. "Welcome and hail to the Queen of the World, long have he yearned to behold her, and thought ourselves to be denied." "Well met are her servants, loyal and true, instruments of Prophecy as are we all."

The boy who had heralded all their entrances, gestured to four seating pads close together. "Please, be seated." "If you wish for food or drink, it shall be brought." "Speak at your leisure of what brings you to us." "We will answer, if fate does not prevent it."

Jas looked up as they arrived, and even stronger than before he felt a sense of deja vu. More than that...something about her appearance tugged at his heart. Had he known her in that forgotten past?

Just Krystas' luck, right when they were going to get to what her name meant, they stopped. A necromance being queen of the world, who would have thought. Shortly these thoughts disappeared, Jasleth/Kyle needed her right now. Sadly, she wasn't sure if they would push her away or not. All she wanted to do now was go to him, hold him and tell him.... Tell them both that she loved him no matter who he was.

Both Kyle and Jas had been there for her at every turn, both made love to her. In her eyes, they were already the same person. And knowing the truth, only made her love him/them all the more. Reluctantly she stayed seated, wishing she could speak to him. Tell him that none of this changes how she feels. But as always, this wasn't the place nor the time.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Athyna fell silent in more ways than one, even if she could find the words to speak, they either would not come out right, or not at all. What the sages had spoke about her name was true, Athyna held so much pain and distrust inside that she couldn't help but *shackle* her heart from the truth. Oddly enough, she always seemed to know when things were going to bring pain unto her.
Like the other night with Thalrynn, even though that was completly unexpected on her part. It still brought pain, and now she hides that pain as if nothing ever happened. Thoughts of leaving this party with no remorse.... Again she has found away to lock the pain within chains that bound her heart.
"How can I possibly break the chains, *shackles* that bind my heart and soul?"
Athyna spoke so softly that she didn't think anyone heard her. Specially with their attention on the female necromancer, that she barely even noticed for she was lost in deep thought and realizing how much pain truly bore inside her. All the sudden she really felt crying out all the pain. Instead she lowered her head, silently let the tears fall, unknowing of how heal and release the things she needed to.
Zhu and her servants
She had been called a lot of things in her lifetime, but never ‘Queen of the World’. She raised an eyebrow, but decided not to question further. These were Sages - undoubtly they knew things that she didn’t, or at least thought that they knew more. Her blood gaze caught the eyes of the Sages, then Jas, then turned back to her servants.
Lang was standing, his mouth slightly agape. They…knew. They knew about his songs. If they knew about that, did they also know what lay within his heart? What he thought he knew? He looked questioningly at the other two men. Only Shihou’s face slightly resembled the confusion on Lang’s - Huozai was deadpan as ever.
“Don’t stop your antics on my account,” she said, waving her hand to the other party members. “I’ve merely come to observe. What ever questions that I may have can wait until the others have been answered.” She didn’t even so much as act like she knew the other women. Kneeling to take her seat, Lang helped her down to the cushion, although she tried to wave him away. Only when she was comfortable did the other men sit.
Lang inched closer to her side, his dark brown hair curling lightly about his shoulders. With a slight sigh, she reached over and raked her fingernails lightly through his hair, almost as if she was favoring a special pet. Under her slight administrations he seemed to calm further, but his attention did not leave the Sages. If they knew as much as he thought that they did, perhaps they would cure his own problems…
Haven sighed slightly as he sat down, lightly petted the head of the small Flan that rested on his shoulder, only an infant, it quivered in a jello like state.
He smiled, the blue Lamias asleep, her tail and long, curved form, rested around him and the infant flan in a semi circle, her soft breathing raising through her chest.
He removed a long, ivory flute from his side and began to let out a melodius tune. His fingers dancing over the small, carved holes.
The Lamia at his side murmured slightly, her serpant tail rippling softly, the Flan at his shoulder began to slink down his arm until it rested in the cool grass, spreading out in a relaxed position. Haven smiled, eyes closed as he let the music continue to flow, reaching ears even atop the mountains.
Dominic
I hobbled slowly down the streets, maintaining my silence. I just wanted to go to the pagado and get some rest. My mind was under too much stress when I was awake.
This was too annoying. Everything was annoying. This whole damn Frozen Flame story is annoying. Part of me wanted to follow Ashlin's advice and just stay here.
Hey. I heard Slip's voice. I hadn't noticed that the lizard had crawled out of my backpack and was now on my shoulder. I expected him to make some smart-ass comment about my talk with Ashlin, but instead he said: Do you hear music?
I stopped and concentrated. The silence of the air was slightly penetrated by the lilting tune of a flute. "Yeah...I hear it. Where's it coming from?"
The Sages
The red haired boy just smiled at Zhu's words. Then he turned to Kryss. "Burning Dancer, your emotions are strong, they burn you like fire." "That fire has been given to you as a great power, though whether it shall consume your enemies or your companions remains to be seen."
Then the assembled Sages, glanced up at the perfect orrey overhead. As one they spoke, "The time is almost upon us to reveal what we are allowed to at this time." "The dictates of the Prophecy compel us, and we cannot resist." "Three more questions will we answer, then we must give the counsel the stars provide." "Speak now, those of you who wish answers, for once you leave this place, none of you shall return until the Event has been decided."
Haven leaned back, his head resting against the small of his Lamia's own back. The melody continued to flow from the flute.
Not only was the instrument very soothing, it also had the power to tame certain monsters, and allow him to capture them.
At his side rested an oddly dorned pouch, runes sewn into the side. If one were to look inside, they would find many an odd glowing sphere, each one with it's own texture, color and...well, aura. Some were cold, other's seemed to be watching you, other's almost like stone.
But he simply let it rest at his side, as despite their beauty, they would be of little use to most of the other population. Unless they had skills similar to his own.
The Lamia's left eye slipped open on her fair face, inplace of hair was a wind, smooth cobra hood. Her tongue darted between her lips that held a hue of soft blue before she rested her arms underneath her chin, and closed her eyes once more, her tail adjusting to a smaller circle around Haven.
Haven smiled again as he continued to play a slightly more...lullaby like song, soft, almost smokey tunes drifting out. Many a nearby animal becoming sleepy just from the sound.
The small Flan in his lap almost melting as it began to let out a blubbly snore, bubbles themselves coming out of it's body.
Athyna was no longer paying attention to the sages, or anything around her. After a long while of she simply stood, having no more questions.
"I am sorry m'lords and m'lady's. But I need to step out, this has been much for me and well, you know how rangers are."
She took her bow in respect for everyone in the room, she had so much to think about, if only she where to begin.
"Please forgive me."
Within a moment she stood, emotions heavy in her eyes. There was no point in staying if she wasn't able to pay attention to what they were saying. Also she no longer had questions, she was sure that she would get the information from Thalryn as to what the next step would be anyway.
Then she stepped out, always hated to be indoors for very long anyway it was getting to the point to where she couldn't breath in there. Luathas followed right after her, for he had no reason to leave her side. Once outside she took a deep breath and closed her eyes for a moment, feeling a bit refreshed before she started to walk back into the forest. Having much to think about and not knowing where to begin or where to go for that matter.
Hadn't really noticed how long she had been walking, nor noticed the sounds of a flute till she found a reasonable spot away from the city, suddenly hearing music seemingly close by. She was sure if she followed it, she would find where it came from it was that close. Instead, she decided to stay where she was for now and let the music be her focus point.
Skyler
Skyler stayed put as she saw Athyna stand and excuse herself, leaving Skyler, Thalryn and Jasleth to hear the words of the Sages. She wanted to know what parts of the prophesy they would reveal to the travellers. She wondered if it would be enough to help them on their way and to help them make the decisions they must make.
She had the feeling that things had been rough so far, but they looked as if they would get worse. The Sages were a little cryptic in their messages, but that had been the way with any prophetic messages she had ever heard, either in this game or real life.
She looked to the door as Athyna left, she wondered how long Dominic would be gone. She wished he was here to hear the Sages words. Maybe that would encourage him to use his second sight to see good in their future.
She thought on what the Sages had said about her, she wondered what they had meant about the blood being her curse and power in this world.. and how she would use it to protect the others. Their words seemed to do no more than confuse her.
Dominic
I made my way down the outskirts of the village, back toward the pagoda, when I saw Athyna. I hobbled over her way. "Hey, Athyna." I called out. "Wait up." I hobbled over her way and she must have slowed down a little, because I finally caught up with her when she sat down.
"Huh...heh..." I panted, still trying to catch my breath. Moving with my walking stick meant it was a lot of work to keep up with a healthy ranger. "What's...going on? Are the...sages...done their story?"
I barely noticed the music getting louder because of my continuous panting.
Athyna raised an eyebrow at Dom as he called out to her, figuring that he still must be having trouble with his legs, considering everything he had been through. So she slowed down and let him catch up.
"No, they have not finished. They are probably wondering why I walked out..."
She thought a moment,
"Well actually they probably already know. Seeing how they know everything else."
Luathas layed down next to her, letting out a big yawn as he crossed his paws and layed his head down.
"They gave everyone a chance to ask three more questions then they would reveal something or another. They had said something and after that I just couldn't stay in there any longer."
Looking over Dominic for a moment, as if just realizing that he had left sometime ago.
"How are you feeling? Considering everything you have endured."
Haven paused as the Lamia at his side suddenly sat up, hissing. He had heard the same voices, but paid it no mind. Most often though, Lamia did not make such a face unless the people were either close, or one was a female she felt would be..threatening.
Haven shook his head as she made a motion to stand up, he laughed and lightly ran his hand down the back of her hood. "Don't worry, I'll send someone to scare 'em off..."
He slipped the flute back into his belt and pulled out a black harp, and lightly ran his fingers along the strings. As he did, the light before him bent and twisted, creating the shadow of a massive beast.
It's feet already sinking deep into the soil as it's weight settled onto the ground, the massive tail lined with black spikes of bone, the twin massive horns jutting from it's purple furred body. "Behemoth.." Haven muttered without opening his eyes. "Go check if there's anyone around, if there is..scare 'em off, don't go and kill 'em. I didn't spend 4 weeks fighting you to weaken you enough to catch just so you'd be labeled as a rabid monster..."
It snorted, and lumbered off, the earth shaking for a mile around in all directions as Haven settled back in, Lamia still felt a bit uneasy, but she too eventually closed her eyes.
The Flan between them still snoring bubbly the entire while.
I sat down and leaned my walking stick against a nearby tree. Slip crawled out of my backpack and into my hands. I began to stroke his skin as I talked.
"Could be better, but I can't complain. The Blight is gone, at least mostly, and it looks like we know what to do in order to rectify this giant mess. But..." I exhaled sharply. "Things are only going to get worse from here. There is so much more we have to do and things are going to go wrong left and right."
"I don't know if I want to tell everyone else or not, but...I had a vision." I closed my eyes. "Someone in our party is going to die. Before we can get to the Frozen Flame. Someone is going to be killed. I don't know who, only that we won't be able to tell until it's too late."
There was a silence for a few moments, and then the ground began to shake. I opened my eyes and stopped petting Slip. "What's going on? An earthquake?"
After a few moments, the vibrations rose, becoming closer together, as the Behemoth broke into a run, catching the scent of it's targets.
With the sound of straining wood, a full tree flew through the air, landing less the five feet away from the pair, the massive beast knocking several more down as it rumbled into the clearing. It's horns aimed directly at the two as it's tail thumped agaisnt the ground with powerful shakes of the earth. It let out a bellowing roar with enough force to send the small lizard flying from it's owner's hands.
Thalryn
Startled from his recollection, Thalryn looked down to see Elistraee staring out the door. “What’s that music?” the elf inquired, not realizing he was using one of the remaining three questions.
Shaking his head to clear the fog, he looked back to the sages. “Uh, ah, I have come to terms with my…humanity. I have no further questions.”
"A vision of one of us dieing?"
Just as she was about to speak more of it, somewhat shocked that Dom would be talking to her about it vs Skyler or someone that he has traveled with longer. Though, she didn't mind in the least, it comforted that he would confide in her like that..
"No, it's not an earthquake... It doesn't feel right..."
Right when she said that, that's when the huge beast came into sight, sending Slip into a shock as he scrambled to stay with Dom. Athynas' heart pounded hard for a moment, mostly just at the sight of this huge beast running full speed at them.
"What the hell.... Thought this place.."
She had to leap towards Dominic sending them both tumbling out of the beasts path. Something wasn't right here, and she knew it. It took her a moment to realize that they couldn't be harmed here, another to realize that this beast didn't belong here either.
"Stay here."
Leaving Dominic and Slip on the ground, she stood just as the monster was turning around again. Luathas went to stand by Dominic, staying out of Athynas' way. Time seemed to slow down as she took out her bow, pulling on the string while aiming right at the beast all in one steady motion. It couldn't see an arrow within the bow, but he could tell she was no longer afraid of him and that she would strike in self defense, also to protect anyone from it. Reguardless of the rules this place, she wasn't about to go down easy, and if this beast truly means no harm then it would stop in it's tracks. Or at least think twice about charging a ranger with no fear.
"Stay here." Athyna said to me. I scooped up Slip and put him in my backpack.
"Be careful, Athyna." I said, as I watched her draw her bow. "Any act of violence, regardless of intent, will cause the magic of this place to strike back with intensity."
I prepared my hypnosis spell, just in case. I trusted Athyna's judgement, but I something could go wrong at any moment, and I wanted to be able to stop anything supernatural from hurting her.
Jasleth & The Sages
Jas had shaken off the whirlwind of emotion he had felt earlier, shunting it away. It would just get in the way now, he...both of them needed to keep thier heads clear. He had questions he wanted to ask...but there was another matter first. He pivoted on the mat so that he faced the necromancer and her servants. "Lady, I wanted to thank you for your help earlier." "It means more to me than I can really say, for I've little gift with words." "Please, ask what you will of the Sages." "My companions and I have gotten the answers we were seeking."
Even as he finished, the Sages spoke, addressing the question Thalryn had accidently asked. "The music comes from The Master of Beasts, who has yet to join the Company of Doom." A matronly woman in a plain peasent dress and a worn apron spoke, then made a "tisk" sound. "And he threatends the peace of Sanctuary." She looked down from her position at the little boy. "Rubedo, he must be warned."
The boy sighed, then nodded. He rose, bowing to the assembled party and to the necromancer. "Forgive my absence, Company of Doom, for I must go and maintain the Prophecy we all serve." "Please continue in my absence." Then he flickered and vanished.
He re-appeared only a few feet away from Haven. The Lamia started, but at a gentle smile from the child, she paused more than a little confused. "Master of Beasts," the small red-headed human child began, "I would ask that you recall your mighty creature immediately." "If you do not, either he or another will violate the peace of this valley, and in that instant they shall cease to be." The voice was gentle, but urging while also making the caller aware that there was no avoiding this outcome if the Behemoth was not stopped. "Those who come are not your enemies, and it is Necessary that you meet them." "If it would ease your mind, I offer myself as a hostage to the truth of my words." "I am Rubedo, one of the Sages of Sanctuary, and I have been waiting for you for a long time."
Zhu and her servants
Lang shifted, his fingers fiddling with one another. It was odd for the young man to be this fidgety, but a million things ran through his mind. Should he ask, or should he keep his silence? A glance back to his stunned lady, and he gently closed his teeth over his tongue. He would find the answers that he sought in time, when he could feel his heart beat again, when the ocean undulated before him. Nudging Zhu lightly in the side, he smiled.
“Now is the time to ask the questions, love. Go ahead before you lose it.”
Nodding, she smiled back at him, pushing a stray hair away from her face. Huozai and Shihou remained silent behind her, each drawn into his own thoughts. With a sigh, Shihou leaned back. Times like this he became nostalgic - wondered where and how his former fiancé was doing. Probably with kids by now. His fair face creased under his thoughts. Showed how much she cared. He looked over to Huozai, wondering what the eldest man was thinking. No one in their small party knew much, if anything, about the red-head, and he didn’t seem to be the type to welcome questions.
Before Zhu could stand, though, he stood before her, bowing slightly before the Sages. His lips parted.
“I am not one to usually talk…but a great many things run through my mind. I wonder about my Lady, about her health, her life, her past. Things that have been hidden from us and that must remain hidden until the proper time. Although I usually put my Lady’s welfare before mine, she has been kind enough to let me speak my mind now. In a dream I once had, I had a daughter. When I spoke of this dream to my Lady, her chest became pained. What I would like to know was if this dream was a past memory, locked away like so many, or just wishful thinking…”
As he trailed off, he glanced back to “see” Zhu’s brilliant red eyes on him, sad and sympathetic. Standing, she placed a hand on the large man’s shoulder, kneading lightly. Their eyes met each other, and for a moment, it seemed as if they were reading each other, darkness in red. She affectionately rubbed her cheek against his, and waited for the Sages to speak, be it at her own pain or not.
Haven looked up, one eye open, at the small "boy". If he was surprised, he made no sign of showing it, simply placing his left hand on Lamia's head, lightly petting down the back of her cobra hood, causing her to calm slightly.
"...no offense or anything, but I'm not much of a people person. If this is about getting out of here and going home...I'm in no rush. I've got everything I need here, friends, money...safety..." He muttered, closing his eyes again. "...and I'm not to worried about my Behemoth. It's one of the strongest beasts you could ever come across...but...I've never been one to let other's be in danger needlessly..."
Placing two fingers in his mouth, he let out a sharp, high whistle.
On the outskirts of the woods where the Behemoth stood, slamming it's foot down. The earth rippling like water in the shockwave, the whistle reached it's ear and it looked back, snorting and turning. Trotting off like a two ton puppydog, it's massive tail swaying, swatting away a tree like it was a blade of grass, sending it off into the distance.
As it came back to the small clearing where Haven rested, it half growled at the young boy, but stopped as Haven raised his hand. Instead, the large beast just sniffed at him, the power of just it's nose the same as a powerful gust of wind.
Haven sighed and sat up. "..ok...look, if you people want my help..I can help. But don't expect me to risk their lives for your problems.." He replied, motioning to the Lamia, Behemoth and infant Flan at his side, still snoring bubbles soundly.
Athyna heard the whistle and the beast took off running as if it was a pup. Looked at Dom while lowering her bow, confusion set on her face. Without a word she took off running after the beast.
Had to know where it came from, who had tamed such a creature and made it come after them... If this person posed any other threat. Stayed hidden the trees as she watched the one sage and the stranger talk. He had all sorts of creatures around him.
"Tamer"
Athyna whispered, the beast that tried to scare her and Dom off was calm at his hand. Other layed sleeping as if nothing was happening. And other interesting looking creature at his side. The creatures alone intrigued her, something behind her caught her attention. It was only Luathas. Suddenly realizing that she just left Dominic alone. Athyna went back to him, not wishing to disturb the sage as they speak.
"Dom, the person is a monster tamer. Seemed harmless.... Well, considering.. The sage boy was speaking to him.. I clearly didn't wish to disturb them."
She looked back behind her, obviously curious now about this stranger.
"Curiosity is what killed the cat right?"
Smiled at Dom. He only gave her a quizical look at her last statement.
"Nevermind that... It seems like things are ok for now. What did you mean you saw one of dieing? I mean, like how did they die?"
Athyna sat back down, pretending that she wasn't interested in the tamer. She has never seen anyone control beasts like that, that alone is what brought out her curious side. allowing her fingers to stroke through the fine fur of the cats' coat as it settled next to her. Still very much alert.
Dominic
"Well...it wasn't very specific. It wasn't a clear vision like my usual ones. It was a set of cryptic images, mostly metaphorical. The message, though, was clear. Someone close to me, in this party, is going to die before we find the frozen flame. That's not saying that the rest of us will make it that far, but at least one of us IS going to die."
My voice lowered. "And I got the impression that one of us does it." I looked right into her eyes. "One of us will be responsble for the death of another."
"I think we should keep this on the low down. Kryss would freak out over it, and Jasleth's power is based on his optimism. It would hit Skyler and Thalryn really hard too...enough so that they wouldn't be able to concentrate in a crisis."
Skyler
Seeing as her questions had pretty much been answered, Skyler stood and made her way from the room. There were others to have their questions answered as well, so she figured it was time to take her leave.
She headed outside to find it evening, the sky darkening above Sanctuary. Not knowing where Dominic had disappeared to, she headed back to the pagoda they shared with the others. Not finding anyone there, she decided to take a walk in the evening air, to check out more of the town.
The streets were still busy with people moving from here to there. She made her way easily through the crowds. It was as she came around a corner that she noticed something down the street a ways. She quickened her steps to follow.
Catching up was fairly easy, she stepped into the dark alleyway, her eyes adjusting quickly. The man she thought she had saw had disappeared, she moved to turn and leave the alley only to find her way blocked.
It was then Dirk stepped from the shadows. “Yeah I figured you couldn’t resist following me.” He then looked to the group that was blocking her path. “Get her quickly and let’s go.”
The four men rushed her, she managed to throw one to the side before the others brought her down. They were being careful not to harm her too greatly so as not to break the rules of sanctuary, they held her as Dirk stepped closer. She glared as he reached into his pocket and pulled out what looked to be a collar of some sort.
“This should make you cooperate for now.” He placed the collar on her throat and she felt all will to fight them leave her body and mind. The men let her go but stood close to make sure the ‘Collar of Control’ Dirk had been given would work on the vampire.
When she showed no signs of attacking them or running, Dirk smiled. “Ok now you will come with me… we are going to meet the one who wishes the pleasure of your company.”
She had no idea how long they traveled, but she knew that they had left Sanctuary. It was pretty close to the middle of the night when they reached their destination, a dark keep there were only a few candles lit here and there to show the way.
She was led into a parlor and made to get on her knees, and forced to look at the floor. She heard footsteps and they stopped a few paces distant from her. She felt her hair grasped and pulled as Dirk made her look up into the eyes of her captor.
Her eyes widened briefly and she felt her fangs distending as she spoke….”You….”
A pair of gleaming eyes shone back at Skyler. A malicious grin formed on his face as his eyes narrowed to look at her. The odd black markings on his facestood out and exemplified his frightening features. A stench of death surrounded him.
It was Avrice.
"Hello pretty one." He said with a smile. "I always thought the dead were more beautiful than the living." He cupped her chin in his hands. "You are beautiful on your knees."
"The collar will no longer be necessary." The necromancer said to Dirk. "She is undead. She is completely under my control." He turned back to Skyler with a grim smile. "So, m'lady, it is good to see you again. How is the whore doing? Has she discovered the present I left for her? And how about that Oracle? I assume his progress is coming along quite nicely."
Athyna couldn't hide the split second shock that ran deep in her eyes, but it went just as quickly as it came.
"Well, umm if I belive right. Skyler was the only one that had intention on killing one of us. Do you think that....."
Was unable to finish the sentence, she was here. Safe from that necromancer.
"He had control over her once before.. I am not saying that it will be that way.... I have to admitt something, again, I don't believe it would be that either."
She looked down a moment, away from his gaze while she took a deep breath.
"My intentions were not true when I first joined this party. Since that test, I have since become confused... "
Let out a small little smirk, trying to find the right words.
"Avrice is all I knew until I met you and this party. He took me in, taught me the arts of the sword. I fell blindly in love with him. I knew he felt nothing for me so he never knew. If he did, he hid it well. I heard about Kryss, even watched her as she was lead into the hall, watched how she came out. This enraged to take avenge and kill her...."
Stopped short for a moment, she hadn't even told Thalryn her intentions, why was she telling Dominic, and now of all things.
"Anyway, that test as changed me. And being by her side like I have been, that as well brought in new feelings. Feelings that I am unaware of. Which is part of why I left the sages..."
Looked up to him to see his reaction to her words.
"Please don't think ill of me, I do not wish to kill her now. Have I not proven myself within the past few days? You are the only one that knows of this. And now, after seeing what Avrice has done.... Even what he had done to me, I too wish to see his death. If not by my blade or magic, I wish to be there and see his fall."
Lowered her head, mostly in shame of she had spoken. Prayed that he would not disreguard her now.
"As, I said. I don't believe it would be me that does it, just saying that it is not impossible either. Avrice at one point had control over me, don't ask me how for he is a necromancer and I am not dead. Just there was a time where he did.... "
"Though, I fear for Skyler more, because she is of the dead and he has a greater chance of controlling her. Making her his puppet, just like he did in that fight Jas told the sages about."
For once Athyna was afraid of her own words. Dominic seemed to have most the leadership of the group. If he so chose, he can cast her out without further thought. Granted he didn't seem the type to do that. But if what he saw, and it was her killing Kryss, then he would do it for the groups protection.
"I am sorry.. I shouldn't have said anything, after you had said that. I felt like I had to.."
