Ow.

It was the first word to come to her mind. One that was confirmed more and more to be the perfect description of what her body felt at the moment as she started to sit up, a sharp hiss of pain leaving her lips as she made it to simply a upright sitting position. Her ribs. Her back. Her shoulders and arms. Everything. Everything screamed of pain and told her to simply lay back down.

Sand and dirt. Mostly sand. Her hands were buried in it, almost to her wrists. Probably not a good thing to be laying in. Why was she laying in it? She stumbled to her feet, her body trembling from the pain of doing so.

Lay back down. You don't need to move. You shouldn't move. Lay back down.
No. Move.
Moving is good.
Need to move.
Sitting still will. Do something.
It's a bad thing.
Pretty sure it's a bad thing.

Her back ached of an even stronger pain now, one that came upon her twofold as she stumbled across the sand. Her right ankle felt strange. Was it supposed to look like that? She couldn't remember. The biggest problem was seeing. Her head just didn't feel. Right. Everything seemed. Off balance.

Was it the way she was walking? No. It was everything. She raised a hand up slowly, rubbing it against the side of her head, hissing again at the pain of her own touch and hastily pulling the hand back.

Blood. She was quite sure that was blood. That isn't supposed to come out. She was certain of that. She stopped in her attempted trek across the sand, turning back around to look at her surroundings. Water. Trees. And more of that sand. None of this was familiar. She wasn't exactly sure if anything could come off as familiar right now. Try to think. Anything.
Nothing at all.

She stared at her feet. That strangely lopsided angle her right foot was taking. That couldn't have been right. It hurt too much.

So. She sat. Back to the sand.
Maybe she could wait.
For what, she wasn't sure.
Maybe who ever left her here.
Did someone leave her here?
Or did she do this?
Where was this?

Who was she, for that matter?
