Who do you think has been the best new author on Literotica in 2025?

He's not - he's just answering the question about which 2025 newbies were also competition winners.
“if we're going to consider Green E's we should also consider the three blue W's won by first year authors.”

It’s really not a big deal, I just found it funny 😊. Hopefully @old_prof did too, but 🤷‍♀️

I am honored to have been mentioned by ANYONE on this list given the other authors who are clearly more deserving.

Folks like @YmaOHyd who has given me so much advice and guidance that I cannot believe that he only started writing this year. How is that possible?

And another "new" writer that I cannot believe is "new" - @FrancesScott . I have found her "How To" works to be essential in my writing let alone reading her stories (and essays!).

I think I may have died of a heart attack had @PennyThompson also been a first year writer, though I still think an honorable mention for *nearly* being in her first year is in order unless this is an annual tradition.

@CharlotteKurai has also produced a piece worth reading - given English isn’t her first language and she is writing about another culture other than her own, that first piece really hit well for a culture I am very familiar with.
Oh my God! Thank you for this! I promise can make better on my writing skills and the chapters, I had a pretty busy in this month because I have a real life work.

I appreciate a lot!

I haven't had a lot of time to read of late, so I'm working my way through the nominees. I hands down agree that @SugarStorm is in the top of the class. Better With You was just wonderful. I can't wait to get to "Chasing You, Finding Me," that looks like it's going to be fun. Her 350 word piece in StillStunning's Christmas writing exercise is a clinic in how to say a lot in a few words.
@Starsinthedark is also in that discussion. I'm only about 25% through "Where Literature Meets Economy," and it is beautiful and brutal. The parallelism of the professor and the subjects is both heartbreaking and compelling.

This is meant to be unserious fun and a chance to celebrate new talent, but the ‘scores’ so far (only those with two mentions - because I’m lazy 😬 - and I’ve counted ‘honorable’ mentions):

@YmaOHyd 🎄🎄

Sorry if I miscounted 🤷‍♀️
I think I only have one ;)

I'm firmly on the @SugarStorm wagon. She took the LS category by storm, her stories are fun, romantic, emotionally charged and hot and she just demonstrated why she deserves to be on the top list for 2025 with 350 exquisite words in @StillStunned 's Christmas Writing Challenge.
Keeping my fingers crossed for her frustration with Pending Purgatory to die down early in 2026 😊

6 people on the shortlist & only one guy.🤷‍♂️

Are blokes that shit at writing? Or is it mainly blokes voting & they’re hoping the people they vote for will send them dirty pics?🤔

I send an autographed foot pic to every person who @s me or comments on one of my stories, it's a very effective engagement strategy.
Again, I am clearly not doing Lit right!

It is no shame to be writing on a forum alongside a whole host of excellent women writers.

And it says much about their excellence that there are repeat mentions throughout this thread.
