I would *love* to be out there again. Spent most of 8th-11th grade in Vallejo, and loved to come into the Bay Area on shopping trips, or to visit museums and stuff when my dad had soccer games to ref in Balboa or Golden Gate Parks.
Or instead of museums, to just wander the streets. Checking out the touristy sights along Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39(?)...Chinatown...the Gothic catherdral (actually visited that on a school field trip). San Francisco was the first major city I'd ever been in, and the one I always think back to. London was really nice the two weeks I spent there, but not the same feel to it.
The Chronicle was the first paper I really read front to back on a regular basis. Used to read all the theatre articles and wish I was old enough to go check out some shows (and this was long before I actually was heading towards a theatre degree). That whole area seemed to be ideal for me.
Right up until I found out we were moving back to Virginia, I was trying to decide between going to Berkley or Santa Clara.
