Who Here Lives In Seattle?

And Oregon. Tektronix, the bedrock of HiTech in Oregon has moved their headquarters to Raleigh NC.

🙄

Yeah, smart move:

Climate change is significantly impacting North Carolina, leading to increased temperatures, rising sea levels, and more intense storms. These changes pose serious risks to the environment, economy, and communities across the state.

Impact of Climate Change in North Carolina

Temperature Changes

  • North Carolina has warmed by about 1°F over the past century.
  • By 2080, temperatures may rise 4-10°F, leading to more days above 95°F.
  • The state is expected to experience about 41 extremely hot days annually by 2050.

Increased Weather Events

  • From 1980 to 2024, North Carolina faced 121 weather and climate disasters, each costing over $1 billion.
  • The most frequent events include severe storms (54 events) and tropical cyclones (31 events).
  • The annual average of billion-dollar disasters has increased from 2.7 to 7.4 in the last five years.

Sea Level Rise and Flooding

  • Sea levels are rising approximately one inch per decade, increasing the risk of coastal flooding.
  • High-tide flooding and storm surges are becoming more common, affecting coastal communities.
  • Saltwater intrusion is damaging wetlands and forests, impacting local ecosystems.

Drought and Water Stress

  • Drought risk is projected to increase due to higher water demand and lower supply.
  • The state is ranked #10 for drought risk among the lower 48 states.

Local Responses

  • Some local governments are beginning to address climate change through updated land-use planning and resilience strategies.
  • However, there is a gap in public discourse, with many residents hesitant to label changes as climate-related.
The effects of climate change in North Carolina are significant and multifaceted, impacting the environment, economy, and daily lives of residents.

WE. TOLD. THEM. SO.

‘Washington Democrats . . .’
Then there’s the bourgeoisie strategy of tax cuts for corporations/the wealthy, thereby shifting the burden on the working class.

As for Marxists getting control — we’ll know that’s happening when the ruling class instructs the Blight House to deploy the AC-130J Ghostrider and bomb us.

we must cut taxes on business and the wealthy. we know how to spend it, not you and especially government

I live in a very red part of a very blue state. And we have to deal with the effects of horrible Democrat policies even though we don’t vote for them.
now I get it. Sorry for the crap you have to go through. Sadly, the state of Florida is being flooded with NY and NJ assholes so parts of the east coast of FL are very blue

Thanks. We have all vote by mail. No in person at all. I do wonder if we could flip the state legislature and governors office if we had a more secure system. Or at least make the numbers a little more balanced.

Nearly half of Washington business owners say they’re considering moving, according to a new survey, and Washington Democrats keep telling us not to believe our lying eyes.

Washington Democrats keep pushing higher taxes, including a payroll tax and a so-called millionaire tax, while pretending businesses aren’t already packing their bags. And now we’ve got fresh data showing exactly how wrong they are.

A new survey from the Association of Washington Business shows a level of economic anxiety that should terrify anyone who actually cares about the state’s future. Nearly 44 percent of Washington business leaders say they are considering moving their personal residence out of state. Seventeen percent say they are planning to relocate their business, up from 9 percent just one year ago. Companies are now more than twice as likely to expand outside Washington than inside it, with 30 percent looking elsewhere compared to just 14 percent planning in-state growth.

That is a flashing warning sign. And before Democrats dismiss this as a mood problem, they should read the rest of the survey. Sixty-four percent of employers say the overall tax burden is their most important business challenge. Seventy-five percent report being directly impacted by taxes approved during the last legislative session. More than half say they are raising prices on customers because of those tax hikes.

Your Marxism is getting out of control.
You just love your biased opinion pieces that masquerade as news.

Did this one come in the daily email chain you get with the instructions to spread it wide… or you go find it yourself (doubtful)?

You don't even know what the Bourgeoisie is.

And we'll know when the Marxists start getting uppity is when the real Bourgeoisie start shooting their asses down in the streets.

Meanwhile the people that are paying for all that wannabe Communist largess are fleeing WA, and OR, and CA, and NY, and IL, with others soon to follow.
