When I started my relationship, I already had a bit of a toy collection. S. was new to the whole BDSM business, so he didn't have anything of the sort, but very quickly got very familiar with everything of mine and just sort of took over my toys. I have bought him quite a few things since, as gifts, and he has done the same for me.
Despite the fact that some are his and some are mine, we do keep them in the same box under the bed, and I really wouldn't want it to be any other way. I love the anticipation I feel when he takes out the box and looks over the contents, frowning, until he has decided what he's going to use.
We always discuss if we want to order things online (unless it's a gift that is a surprise), and then usually, who pays depends on who is the most excited about whatever we're ordering. Most of the time we'll split, but if he thinks about ordering something that makes me back into the opposite corner of the room just thinking about it, he won't demand I pay for it (slight joke here, folks - he's not that mean... usually
).
