I really guess it isn't after all, the numbers in 2009 reflect the dive everything took when The Clown won the election...take the DOW it was at 14,000 before he was elected then nosedived almost 7,000 points after he was elected.

We live in high-tax California. Well, actually in a rural low-tax low-cost pocket of California, outside the smog-control zones and special-need districts. We could not live this well right over the line in low-tax Nevada.

What do my low taxes buy me? Well, not a snowplow for my gravel road nor a garbage truck to roll down it. Not an Animal Control that responds to dogpack complaints in less than ninety minutes. Not all sorts of stuff.

And yes, the local economy is doing fairly well, and not just because of the state prison expansion.
