Why am I doing this again?

Nahh.

They know I'm all talk anyway. Especially when I threaten 'em with a bazooka.

That's where our teaching styles differ. My kids still wonder what I'm truly capable of, and I introduce myself as "the second meanest teacher on the planet. I love when kids cry. I gather your tears and use it to make my coffee. Please, please cry."

I told one child, a sixth grader who was prone to crying whenever things didn't go his way, "I don't get paid much and making kids cry is one of the fringe benefits of this job so be my guest." He never cried again. Oh, and I'm always very nice to the little ones. They think I'm scary already. :cattail:

Similar, here. I snarl and roar at the big kids but if a little one needs correction. there is nothing on earth like good ol' guilt.

My drama teacher fell asleep in the front row every day when he was supposed to be teaching us. One of the kids had acted in community theatre, so he tried to keep the rest of us on track, but since nobody liked him much, it didn't work very well. We were truly miserable.

Sarah, VM, thank you SO much for doing a good job by your kids!

(And Safe Bet, I have to second your idea -- it'd be hilarious to watch Sarah give the kids what for.)

Oh - that's terrible about the teacher. Pathetic.

Plays can be such amazing experiences. Thank you - :rose:

And how come everyone wants to see me in high bitch mode? :D

Because we know you have a heart of gold and I can't ever envision you being "mean" - pissed yes, mean not. I also have thoughts of the "Killer Bunny" from Monte Python!

As someone who once missed a cue in "Once Upon A Mattress" because I was on the back steps errrrm... talking with a female cast member... I feel a twinge of guilt at reading this...

But hey... I was the only person in that cast that was comfortably able to carry a dripping wet Princess Fred up the aisle from behind the audience and set her on stage, so I guess I served my purpose. ;)
