Why are google doc links censored?

Basically what it says on the tin. Is there some kind of rule or something that explicitly states that posting such links is an issue or is it baked into the software the forums run on and it either cannot or will not be changed?

The ability to censor is in the forum software, where it gets applied is a matter for the site admin. The site has no control over what's in a google doc so that's probably why they block the link.

There are many things they don't have control over. Attempting to exert control anyway in such a manner will inevitably piss some people off.

Up to you if you want to be pissed off about it, but it's their site so their rules.

It's site policy not to host links to unknown content. Been that way from the beginning, so far as I know. Can't see that ever changing.

it's thier site...if they want to say every second tuesday anyone with an E in thier name is not allowed to post...they can do that. It would be silly but still with in thier power...so..feel free to be pissed off but its not going to change it.
