I decided to use an avatar because - especially after some of the initial PMs I got - there was no way I was using my actual face. Also, I don’t really want someone from work, or from a business counter-party, finding my photo here.

I went with the model I am using because:

1. She looks quite a bit like a prettier version of me (I know the photo is from some time ago); we have the same general facial structure
2. I liked the attitude she was conveying
3. I enjoy wearing my hair just like that sometimes
