Why Do Women Hate The "C" Word So Much...

What is so hard to understand as to why women hate the "c" word, everyone in there right mind should had the word "clown"

He meant "cunt" Todd. I hate the word cunt. Apply it to me and I get pissed off. Not that I'm not pretty much pissed off now anyway.

i... um.... noticed that KM......

Slap me around if you want to but......

what's wrong?

If used in the right context, then I'm fine with it, but call me a cunt and I'll give you the best right hook I can possibly muster up.

Hope this helped KID :)

I have no problem calling my cunt what it is, but if you call me a cunt, I will kill you.

See my fucking Blaster?

I think part of the problem is that there's just no word that has the same impact on a guy. Call a guy a "dick" and we'll usually just laugh it off.

I guess it's when you start making fun of the size of said "dick" that guys start getting pissed! ;)

I don't use the word cunt to describe a vagina. I think that is gross. I wouldn't like being called a cunt, but no one has called me one yet, so I canot say. I knowe I got pissed off about something once and referred to a neighbor lady as a "cunt scab" but that was a momentary stroke of insulting genius.

Cunt is vulgar.

Well, i am the odd one out (again).

I like the word. Its like "fuck", absolutely perfect for what it describes. Everything else is either anatomical or euphemistic. I mean to say - "pussy"?!! I use pussy all of the time because most people i know would be appalled if i used cunt, but i know which one I like the most.

Love Sze

I also hate the word cunt. It is generally used in a derogatory way & I am with most of the other women here.Call me that & I will rip your heart out & shove it down your throat.

Because there is no equivilant word for any part of the male anatomy. It's a derogatory term, as someone pointed out, and there's no derogatory term for a penis. People are offended or angered by what makes them powerless. We have no equivilant in our armoury of words, therefore, we do not like it.

most derogative word in language applied to a woman

I have to agree - I would NEVER use this word to describe a woman or even her genitals, not even in fun!! Something that seems worse to me, in a way, is the phrase coined by an acquaintence. He sometimes says "Look, there's a VLS over there" meaning "Vaginal Lifesupport System" which is a terrible way to regard a woman - any woman...

Mind you, the word "cunt" has been around for over 700 years, coming from the Norse word "kunta" which then changed into the Old English word "coynte"... It stayed that way for quite a few more years. Samual Pepys used it in his diaries, as in the section where one of his serving girls was doing his wig (as he wore it) and he mentions having "my main in her coynte" i.e. he was using his hand to play with her pussy as she worked :D

I'll bet you never saw THAT mentioned in history class :D

You don't have a ME dictionary, do you?

This is bothering me:

http://www.literotica.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=27750&pagenumber=3 :)

"Cunt" was not a derogatory term, btw, until fairly recently.

Sorry, I have no dictionary, other than bits and pieces left from my education, but I think having one is a good idea. I shall try and dig one out, and if I find one, you're welcome to it :)

Aha! The Prologue to The Canterbury Tales - I really like that... The first time I'd encountered Iambic Pentameter :)

As I was taught it:
Whan that Aprille with his shoures sote
The droghte of Marche hath perced to the rote,
And bathed every veyne in swich licour....

translates into prose as:
When April, with his sweet showers {of rain} has pierced to the roots the drought of March, and bathed every tendril in the sweetest of liquid...

The words in brackets are added by me, to clarify the phrase, as here in the UK, April is legendary for sunny days that have fine, warm(ish!) showers scattered through the day. I suppose some of the contributers to this board come from countries where this may not be quite the case :D

Our Doctor of English could recite this in the actual dialect, which I thought was marvellous...

Prick

But even then, it's not the same. But that is about how it is taken, if guys were more sensitive (for lack of a better word,) then it might be equivalent.

I wonder ...

.. probably not, but you never know.
