I have noticed that sometimes I can be replying to a post and when I try to submit (haha) I get "timed out". However, there have been other times where I have left my home for a couple of days without shutting down my computer, come back in and I am STILL LOGGED ON TO LIT....can someone PLEASE explain this to me????

Lit uses several different cookies to keep track of whether you're logged in or not. If you come to the froums via Lit's Main page, that cookie has a "log me in automatically" setting that will automatically log you into the site and the forums.

There is, or used to be, a similar setting, "Browse with cookies" setting in the forum userCP that keeps you logged into the forums even if you take a long time to compose a post -- however, I can't find it in my userCP at the moment.

If you don't have an auto-login set, you'll time out every fifteen minutes or so and have to manually log back in.
