Spouse of a cousin.
Have not seen either since the 1970s, yet I can recall the name, face, voice, laugh and some other characteristics.
Had only met this person 5 or 6 times in total over the years, only a for a few minutes each time and only at family gatherings. Never any direct personal contact outside of a moment or two of casual chatter among a group of others.
Apparently died in the 00's sometime and only found that out recently after recalling the person for reasons I don't understand.
Why do our minds do this to us?
