I say pack the hell out of the court if the dems get the house, senate and presidency then pass a law changing the lifetime appointment to 16 years. There’s nothing in the constitution to establish a number of SCJ’s. grandfather current justices that have surpassed 16 years for another 4 and those under get the remainder of the years they have to reach 16. Lifetime appointment is ridiculous.

While we’re at it lets 4 term house members and 3 term senators too.

I understand the classic definition, but the result is the same. Some may even say blocking nominees from getting a vote is even worse. The courts should be balanced.

I’ve read arguments for raiding the number of judges to 19 or more, so it’s not absolute bedlam when a Justice passes.

The reason they hate ACB is basically the same reason they can not discuss alternate viewpoints without name calling. They are filled with hate. Why? The courts should be balanced.

Define "balanced".....because for most that means a wholesale lopsided bias or advantage in their favor, a cudgel to beat the other side with.

Nobody really LIKES balance just like most folks don't actually want equality or fairness or justice.

The number of justices on the court will not stop the bedlam from the side that's not controlling who's seating justices.

Only people getting over the fact that democracy and separation of powers means not always getting your way, will stop that.

House/Senate privileges are real and until we undergo a TOTAL restructuring of our government, that's the system and the various parties of power are just going to have to get over the fact that because democracy and all the various levels of checks put on it, it's an exceedingly rare thing for one party to get total power....as it should be IMO.

Term limits as you suggest for the house and senate and the one we have on our POTUS are anti-democratic.

A democratic "term limit" IS the election. It's a chance every 2, 4 or 6 years for the people to officially and with effective legal force say "We love it, keep up the good work!" or...."YOU'RE FIRED!" and term limits go against that by removing the option for the people to keep the officials who they like.

If I have an awesome representative/executive I would like the option to keep them if they want to keep serving....

As for the justices, whatever, they aren't part of the democratic processes and shouldn't be, they aren't representatives or legislators, quite the opposite they are in a lot of ways there to keep that clown world in check.
