Why People Should Read

You'll be a G'rup some day.

That's a big part of it. No 'pride' in this at all. Just 'been there, done that', and 'let's make some bucks now.'

There is no purpose in doing this again.

Why build a road if it doesn't take you across the world in a day?

Moving away from the moon now. 4219 miles and the number is growing. 252,700 miles from Earth.

.....

Does anyone know the answer to this: On lunar missions, does the Earth typically rendezvous with the moon when it is on the opposite side of the earth from the sun? That appears to be the case now. If so, is there a reason for this? Gravity? Safety?
I looked it up, and the Apollo landing flights were timed for the sun angle during landing on the moon, which was best during the waxing crescent or gibbous phase. Apollo 8 was waxing crescent, and Apollo 10 was full.

The soalr eclipse is going to be so, so, so, so, SO cool! First solar eclipse from the moon. Pretty freakin' nifty!

It's really fun watching them screw around with the microphone while they're waiting for their turn to talk during these events. The most fun fidget spinner.

Another Literotica story event, anybody?
Reading this thread and trying to think of a Lit story that honors this event led me to picture two young NASA engineers who have been working on Artemis II, and they decide to celebrate the launch by bringing an air mattress and putting in a breakroom, knowing anybody else in the building will be watching the launch. They are watching on their phones, and the young female engineer mounts the young male engineer in cowgirl position. Their goal is simple - their own orgasm engines firing just as the main engines on Artemis fire...

I'm so sorry, but all I can think is that when they cum, it's so powerful she's shot into (and possibly through) the ceiling.

"Liftoff of Artemis II, humanity's-"

*THUD*

"Uh, did anyone else hear that?"

I feel a sort of silly pride when I recall that I anticipated the (obvious) choice of name for a lunar mission in one of my stories around 10 years back, where I used "Artemis" for the O'Neill cylinder sited at the L5 Lagrange point between earth and the moon, , whose chief scientist was named "Diana".

Is it just me who found this thread funny? Because I have to say, I got quite a chuckle this morning from the replies to the OP thread (sorry I didn't read it, because it went straight to new comments) when I clicked on expecting the advice to be about what every writer already knows…. Read anything and everything that piques your interest about what makes your world go round and tilt in kinky directions. Unless you're like me and like the rollercoaster ride of a WIP. :rose: :rose: :rose:

With genuine curiosity: does anybody know if there's a spike on interest of people looking up for porno or similar horny creations regarding Artemis? Including the Goddess, of course.

For all the complaining and grousing that goes on here at the Hangout, I think there's plenty of good humor here. Plenty of funny people who know how not to take things too seriously. The silly diversions make the threads much more entertaining.

Nothing wrong with a thread going in circles, changing trajectory, succumbing to a strong influence of a particular topic, and even experiencing an occasional burn.

Just as long as there is no real crash, and everyone can walk away no worse for the wear.

Which, most of the time, is what happens, as long as people keep it light and don't get nasty with each other.

Ok, I decided to take one: there is porn of Artemis. I just saw a picture of Aphrodite licking her pussy. All I'm wondering though is if there's a spike of interest around Artemis (Goddess or not; if people fuck cars, I'm certain they'd fuck rockets given the chance), but I'm down for some Mythic erotica if there's a challenge.
