why they vote for trump

they don t love him
they don t respect him
they don t approve of his morality
they really do understand that he

is a bombastic sleaze

they know that he is an inconsistent braggadocio
they know he cannot deliver his boasts
but

he speaks to them to their values to their sense of self worth
he lives none of it
but
he has read machiavelli s the prince

on the other hand

we have those whom hate trump
for
most of the above
they detest him they detest his voters

but

you detested those voters before trump
you vilified them demeaned them impugned them and ridiculed them
you lambasted and mocked their religious beliefs
you created a new morality for yourself
and fought to impose it

you are so smug so snarky so self assured so righteous
you talk down to those you disagree with
you shout at them

you succeeded in bullying them into silence
you condemned them as unclean
uneducated
unworthy

to you there can be only one pack
one way
one life

you are relentless in your hunting

something golda meir
once said

they must love their children more than they hate us

those people you hate
vote for trump
because

they hate you more than they dislike him

They have to make an alt to say

They voted for him

Good, good. . .

Let the hate flow through you.

Try to work "deplorable" into your shtick.

How big of a margin did the democratic candidate win by?

What would have happened if sheriff joe won?

So here que is trying to make a point that the data doesnt support.

I see. Talk about Googling for confirmation bias. You're suddenly an expert on Arizona politics? Okay, go on enlighten me.

Why don't you go on and explain to me how the Democrats are simply going to acede the governorship and how Governor Ducey is not vulnerable. Explain to me how they well-funded, well-organized teachers union who did manage to get their candidate over the finish line for the Democrat to run against Ducey didn't think that this election mattered. That get out the vote didn't matter. Thst voter enthusism in primary elections is no harbinger of voter enthusiasm in an election cycle.

I look forward to your brilliant analysis of Arizona politics.

The first inkling that I had that Trump had a shot at all was the day of the election I saw in bold letters on the back of a Jeep lettered "Deplorable and proud of it."

The entire point of the dnc's thrust in the last election was to try to get women and blacks angry enough to vote in the numbers that they did for Obama. It didn't work. Vilifying everyone that disagrees with them with over the top hyperbolic vitriol did nothing but energized the other side.

I am encouraged based on what I see on this board that if anything they are doubling down. The rank-and-file are just as stupid about it as Hillary was. I work with a lot of people who are likely non-voters and are probably wouldn't be Republican voters if you sat down and patiently explained it to them because there's nothing the Republican Party offers that's going to make any difference in their life of dependency. On a casual basis they mouth some of the same things that people on the board hear about how evil Republicans are.

If getting them foaming at the mouth that got them to the polls then perhaps this strategy would be effective. But what they don't realize is those of us being vilified for having ideas about freedom and liberty that are being disparaged by these low-information probable non-voters weird simply being encouraged to make sure that the DNC is not given any power.

The backlash is much stronger than the intended use of these useful idiots.

I have to agree in a large part because this is something that I have been saying for a long time.

When it is a religion and a belief system, you never question the dogma and you continue to condemn the sinners to hell remembering that when you were Christians, a thousand armored knights were able to take out the tens of thousands of the Musselmen...

Just wondering Rob, how do you respond to people who accuse you of having "white privilege?"

By demonstrating on a daily basis who down with the struggle he is.

This is why he engages in his racial and homophobic slurs against those deemed to be off the plantation. He has to be nastier that everyone else in order to ensure that he is the last white man standing...

How droll!

I think you should have that put on a poster board and stand just outside the politicking limit at your local polling station so that all those stupid Trump voters can be ashamed of what dum-dums they are.

Yesterday in increasingly purple Arizona, those idiot Republicans showed up 2-1 versus the Democrats for the primary.

Those misogynistic woman-hating domestic-abusing Republicans had to choose between two women candidates and Sheriff Joe and elected the more moderate of the two women.

She got 52% of the vote even with Sheriff Joe Arpaio on the ticket for all those racist Republicans to vote for.

I hear the turnout was similar in Florida, where the Democrats hope the magic of "The First Black Governor will be the anti-McCain factor...

;) ;)

I think most of the sentient American voting public has probably decided that 8 years of malaise was not really worth the virtue signaling bragging rights that goes along with voting "historic."

The other thing that he does not understand is the blowout in the Democratic senator race is a function of a highly nationally funded candidate versus a candidate with virtually zero funding and she still got 20%.

It was by far and away the most expensive primary in Arizona history so if the Democrats didn't show up after spending all of that money I'm pretty sure that that was a bit of a disappointment. The Democrats spending the money thought it was important.

The general election will likely cost as much as any place in America.

I keep hearing about the blue wave sweeping across the country thanks to Trump, but I guess that I cannot see it from here because it is gathering on the coasts...

By the time it gets here, it will surely be a Tsunami swamping all of us deplorables out to sea.

Look! Q-#### finally got around to using the new conservative buzzword!

Time Magazine in an article about the Arizona governor's race quotes this idiot:

“It’s now or never for a blue wave by the Democrats,” said Meyer. “If not, democracy will be in question in our country.”

Josh Meyer is a theater manager. Obviously he thinks that because the word Democrat is in the dnc's title that somehow they are the guardians of democracy. Which is not an actual thing since we are a Democratic Republic not a democracy. We vote for leaders to decide things for us.

Arizona at times devolves into democracy because of our easy ballot initiative process.. even if you violate the law in how you got of the signatures or just simply make stuff up it still gets to go on the ballot it still gets to be written in whatever confusing language you want it to be and it's always phrased in such a way that the useful idiots vote for it whether that was actually what they meant to vote for or not.

Not a bad little summation. In 2018, aging white male voters in flyover country had a collective hissy fit.

Newsflash....it wasn't just old white guys in flyover country.

Thinking it was is what cost Hillary the election.

White privilege was rapidly becoming a thing of the past

It was a thing of the past some time ago dumbass, that's why you can't point to any modern white privileges.

Didn't East Germany include the word Democratic in their "nomenclature?"

It occurs to me that the OP might have been right.

The Democrats/Socialists/Progressives seem to hate Trump voters more than they love winning elections...

They really would cut their nose off to spite their faces.

Which is why he should push for things like open borders and socialism everything....I'd love to see BND, AboutAverage and RobDownSouth in here sounding like Ron Paul.

What the fuck is your point Mz Dickinson?

don t?

It looks as if the idiot was phoning it in. Are you a grammar Nazi?
Is that what being a Progressive has come to entail?
No message other than what you think other people's flaws are? Flaws that you, personally, need to correct even if it means voting government enablement (force) of the correction?
