William Hung

PLEAZZZZZZZZZZ how many times have we met the perfect guy and:
1. He's married
or
2. He's gay

My advice is to find a non-married, non-gay man. I don't know why women keep saying they're hard to find. I can't swing a dead cat without hitting an unattached, straight guy.

Personally I think people attractions can be as varied and wonder as there are varied and wonderful people. When you pigeon hole someone you really restrict your experience. I full on understand the 98% comment there are a lot of women out there who fall for complete gay guys. It’s more like falling for a good friend.

I'll stipulate that but what about this William Hung guy? I don't see what's so great about him. Well, or the rest of those American Idol schmucks for that matter. I can sing better than any of them without trying.

He's going to release an album soon titled "Inspiration". He will be covering such classics like Enrique Iglesias' song Bailamos .

I guess all I can say is that I hope he gets enough money to help pay for any college loans he has. I almost find it insulting that they gave him a record deal since people only listen to laugh, and he's not really singing to make people laugh. It will probably be a novelty album, but hey, he went on AI hoping to win a record deal and look what happened. I will definitely get a good chuckle if he sells more albums than the actual "winner". :D

Are we laughing with him or at him? If we are laughing with him then I am ok with it. As for me, I am laughing with him. He knows he does not have the talent that others do but he does have guts and drive. You have to give him that much.

As for his 15 minutes of fame, go for it. In reality, don't we all wish we can capitalize on 15 minutes of fame? He is a college kid that is now getting his education paid for with some money left over for a future.

He is harmless and is having fun. I for one is happy for him. He brings a humorous light to life which I think we all need. So, sit back and enjoy him.

As for a comment that someone earlier made "Hmmm. Well, I think it's possible to find somebody attractive without wanting to have sex with them" I totally agree with that comment. Why are men so afraid to say that another guy is attractive? It does not mean you are gay. Jeeeesh, why are so many people uptight.

Heck if he doesn't realize that many people are laughing AT him instead of WITH him and that, either way, he was given the deal because many people find him hilarious, then he's been exisiting in quite a media-blocked bubble. :D

Well, by now he probably knows, especially since he was verbally attacked by the judges and all of the sudden he has fame. Going into the show originally, though...I don't know if he thought he was good or if he just decided to give it a try.
As for laughing at him or with him...I'm not really laughing either way. I never watch the show, so the only way I know about him is from show promos, other college students, and the fact that he's all over the place. I guess that if I were in his situation, I wouldn't care if people were laughing at me, since I'd be the one with the last laugh since I'm the one with the record deal and the money.

I think I caught a clip of this guy on a commercial. He's the round-faced one with the jerky dance movements who can't carry a tune, right? :p

Bingo. But I read that he's going to take singing and dancing lessons since apparently he's taking a music career seriously, so we'll see...you never know. I'd probably like him better than half the male singers out there. I still don't see what everyone else sees in Justin Timberlake.

So? Iglesias is overrated too. I have Elvis' range, Orbison's falsetto and Ben King's soul.

I'm thinking of going into a music career, but if I do I'm not gonna fuck up my raw talent with lessons.

And I could whoop these sorry-ass mofos on AI in a heartbeat, but going on a show like that would kill my chances of being the World Superstar.

Everyone fell in love with Willy Hung. He just is genuine and so brave for going out there and doing his best! I think he is just a "doll". He definately has more guts than I do! Go Willy!!!

I think you just like his name.

:p :D

What I don't understand is how the guy made it in front of Simon, Paula, and Randy in the first place...?

Times like this I'm happy not to have a TV. If it weren't for you guys I'd have no clue who this is.

I don't. I just think he's kinda weird, but then I haven't seen more than a 5-8 second clip his whole "She bang" performance so...

William Hung to Release Debut Album

NEW YORK - William Hung, whose spirited version of Ricky Martin (news)'s "She Bangs" got him booted from open auditions for "American Idol," will release his debut album next week.

i find him adorable in that cute little uncorrupted way. i find him a little dull for the same reason. overall though i don't like him all that much.

I have had this guy's version of "She Bangs" in my head all afternoon and evening. I've never heard the original, only his version.

HEY! Leave my American Idol alone!:D Can I have my corny TV with no guilt, please?

Plus, did you see Camille on there? She was soooo hot. Too bad she was voted off. :D

And on a side note, I'm desperately waiting for my 15 minutes of fame.

I'm glad William Hung got to record a CD...it was his dream. Can't a bad singer once, just once, pretend they are good and make a CD?:) I'd love to, although no one but me & my mom would buy it.

My friend Marj would buy it. She seems to love the guy, too. Her roomie and her are crazy about the show. I've never watched it (only commercials for it), but a cool thing was that apparently, this season, a girl from her hometown was on...she eventually got kicked off, but the fact that she was on for so long is pretty cool.

Oh man, that's happened plenty of times, even by genuine bad singers (as opposed to popular singers that some people happen to dislike)

Dudes, has anyone ever heard William Shatners albums from the 70's????

Now THOSE are creepy.

Whoa! How did you know that was exactly what I was thinking of, Netzach? ;)

That and Leonard Nimoy's album. :D
