G'day everybody.

I have another question here. We all know that you can remote assistance someone's computer using Windows Messenger in XP. Just right click on the contact, it sends the invite, and away you go. However this feature is sadly missing from MSN Messenger. I was just wondering if there was any way at all to get this feature in MSN messenger as well as Windows Messenger.

Cheers

I think you might want to post this an the Microsoft.com message forum instead of here! I know they may come here, but the chances are better that they would see and be able to respond on their own board.

Joke - bad it may be, but a joke none the less.

Actually remote assistance is available in MSN Messenger. During a conversation with someone choose activities from the top menu and select Remote Assistance. This is is current as of MSN Messenger Version 7.0.0816 the most current version I believe.

The difference, if I recall correctly, is that the person wanting the assistance must perform the action to Request Remote Assistance. There is also a service that needs to be enabled, but I can remember what it is and can't find it in the documentation. Sheesh I should know this, I'm an MCSA for crap's sake! Oh well, chalk it up to working on servers more so than desktops.
