Wisconsin?

lol back water swamp people..... are you sure you aren't thinking of Louisianna?
the food is better in Louisianna, but that is the only good thing about that state.
Floridians and Louisianans are remarkably similar creatures.

I've only spent a small amount of time in New Orleans, never really was able to enjoy the food. My wife spent a few days there for a conference and hated the food. (But to be fair, she is allergic to seafood and I imagine that can make cities like New Orleans very difficult to eat in)

Looks like some sun, but also clouds and tstorms for Memorial Day.

Anyone have big plans?
Parade on Monday, maybe some grilling. Traditionally we invite my Mother-in-Law over and I just grin and bear it.

Also on the docket is crossing my fingers to not fight with my wife.

Good luck with that?

I am working, and we are grilling out at work. I get to bring dessert.

ok, either it's the chilly rainy weather, or someone may have tackled me in my sleep last night. I feel like I have bruised ribs and my shoulder is killing me.

Anyone giving out free massages?

I will take some Advil while I wait.
:cattail:

I know I've been waking up really stiff for the last few days.

(not like that, get your minds out of the gutter!)

Hopefully the new pillow I ordered comes soon and helps. :D

Advil would help the stiffness I was complaining about.

I ALWAYS wake up with the other kind of stiffness. Don't usually complain about that one though.

It's always kind of funny when I'm a little sore in the morning and I can't imagine why, but then I remember oh yeah, I did [insert activity here] that's not really strenuous, but just used muscles I'm not used to using.

But if you can come to Madison, my willing hands are waiting ;)

I think it is this weather. Mother Nature can't seem to settle on one season.

All I know is........my sinuses are feeling it. Big time

It was really warm today, and now DOWNPOURING rain. Right now it's monsoon season in Wisconsin.

Sinuses have been messing with me as well. yuck.

hmmm I'll keep that in mind...but it's a long drive to Madison.

Can I hang out here...I left Wisconsin in late 1966, possibly early 1967

Sure you can.

Hang on there. You don't currently reside in IL, do you?

Just messing with you, we're an inclusive bunch, but there is a lot of weather bitching here, so be warned.

my current state of residence lacks weather in general unless you consider HOT weather....and (rarely) hot and muggy if it is teasing that it MIGHT rain.

I figure any state that gave birth to me, kemp and ryan, while still maintaining the unapologetic liberalism of Madison the birthplace of the modern 'progressive" movement ought to be a place of spirited debate but inclusive.

I'm guessin' that had I stayed in Oconowoc, my first ever beer might have occured before 2009 then?

For the sake of discussion had a grown up in that region what would I likely be drinking today?
