Wisconsin?

Today was my first day without the my 5 year old. I have way too much free time in the mornings now. I need to find something to do for a few hours...

I'm in Wisconsin. In Milwaukee ATM, but probably moving south closer to the border soon. I'm not a native (grew up near Cincinnati), but I'm fully assimilated into the beer/cheese/sausage lifestyle.

I like Cincinnati chili, can't really get that around here.

Welcome to the Wisconsin thread.

There used to be a Cincinnati chilli place downtown on Erie Street (could be wrong), but I think they closed.

Anyway, welcome to the thread, Owl.

Warm banana bread, fresh from the oven with some buttah.

I must be ready for fall, which is crazy because I hate hate hate the cold.

Fall is my favorite season! Love the cool crisp but not too cold weather! I wouldn't mind skipping a winter or two though.

New Here

Looking for some to play with. I live in Racine, kinda borning here. I am 6' 165#. Nice piece to work with. Looking for someone around my age to live out some fantasies with... Could it be you?

That place is a beautiful example of Frank Lloyd Wright architecture.

there were a couple of things down there. wingspread (johnson conference center, flw building) and a house on the lake a couple blocks away from us. there's a few here in wausau, we almost bought one of them. also been through fallingwater, so yeah, he has some cool stuff. it's a shame that some of his work has already been torn down...

Very true, some beautiful architecture here from FLW. Several homes and the SCJ buildings. If you ever get back this way you need to checkout the Fortileza building on the SCJ campus. A replica of the plane that Sam flew to brazil hangs there and there is a pret amazing FLW exhibit on a 100 year loan from Talesin. Amazing.

I will have to do that! Thanks for the info.

Even though it is not far for me to travel there, I haven't done much official exploring of FLW architecture in Racine or any other area of WI/ILL. Hoping to do a lookey-loo around Chixago nezt summer when I am there for a gf's wedding.

I would also like to get to Spring Green and see Taliesin......since there is such a darl and fascinating history attached to the original building.

Oh what a glorious day. The weather was nice, the sun was shining,
and Ponder was QB for the queens. What a fantastic game. At least the queen fans got to celebrate for the first 30 seconds of the game.
