It is the nature of the beast. I underwent therapy for prostate cancer and part of the treatment was to take androgen therapy. They give you an injection and it knows your testosterone level down to zero. I finally understood what effect it had on the brain. I’ve been out of “education” for 4 years and I have so much more to prove to myself.

I finished my undergraduate degree when I was 50, then my masters at 54. According to neuropsychology, learning is easier when you're young. But I strongly believe the type of learning they're talking about is basically memorization. I think both critical thinking skills and the ability to make logical inferences improve significantly with some age and experience.

So you're in an excellent position— you still have your youth on the one hand, but on the other, you've had some time away from education to gain experience and develop those other skills.

I seriously appreciate you taking the time to write this. It's absolutely spot-on! I think that there’s a slight danger of running a long thread in that it can start to feel like a performance? And in turn, validation then feels conditional? I think it can also be a case of some taking what us girls share, for granted at times as you say, there are other sites which can be accessed with less clicks than literotica, and with easier search engines.
