It'd been too long, this woman whomever she was had me pushing through more rough country than I'd seen in my life time, I hated chasing down her kind...Witches they weren't easy and the woods fought me with every step mostly because of her conjuring it was utterly irritating.

I was unfortunately short on coin so I took the job, and atleast I was immune to some magic, my mind was always my own something I was born with unfortunately the more powerful ones can enslave more than just the mind and prefer to leave the mind intact... I've managed to avoid such a fate thus far but powerful Witches were rare you'd get the odd chanter, conjurer, or chemist nothing too terrible. The old ones weren't the trouble, nor were the young ones, it was the beautiful the ones that hid or removed any and all flaw's in face and form.

I had a feeling this woman was one of those, I had a few charms maybe they'd give me a chance to silence her. Last witch got almost had me, had to teach her a lesson but I rarely have to kill my targets nor do I condone burning them, I prefer to turn them over to the Inquiry, good people many former witches turned mages and doctors. No sense in wasting a life but some are beyond help, and I can't say that I have never drawn blood.

Now in the thick of this forest I find myself closing in on her, and I prey that I don't have any competition for this catch or even worse another witch-hunter.

(OOC: PM me if you're interested I can work a few characters into this, expect longer posts, magic is rampant I'll allow anything short of Armageddon, feel free to be his target or a competing hunter or mercenary:D)

The Inquiry.

A bunch of no good, so called 'helpers' that did nothing with what was given to them.

Ever since the day of my birth, they said I was special. My mother was a former member of the Inquiry. That was until the day I killed her. She tried so hard to make sure she raised me right. Her last dying words to me was her telling me I was a mistake.

Yeah, well, when you're dying there's not much to lose so you'll say anything.

No, she was the mistake. She tried to teach me good. I will give her that much. Ah, well, not much you can do when your daughter understood the books and long brought down traditions more so than those who taught them.

Now, I'm on the run. On the run for doing something good. I got rid of another 'good' witch. I've been on the run for a little over 2 months.

2 months. 4 hunters.

This one was the fifth. Yeah, I had seen him, I let him get close to me on purpose. I wanted to see how good he was.

My mistake.

He wasn't just good. He was VERY good. I couldn't outrun him, I couldn't out smart him. I couldn't curse him out. I couldn't use my skills as a witch to push him away...

He name was Stiel. That much I knew. And the legend that followed him, well, let's just say I was flattered that the Inquiry finally brought in someone worthy of my talents.

Now it was time to see just how good I was...and how good his was also...

It took awhile but I over took her, she was headed into the valley if the tracks meant anything, I'd made my way uphill. It was a rocky little bastard but I got over it I'd get ahead of her for once and be clear of any roots gripping at my heels. The sun was getting low, and the cool autumn air was turning my breath to steam, it'd be an interesting interrogation when I caught her to say the least but I don't mind the cold 'I wonder if she does?'.

A wicked grin graced my lips and I waited in the brush for her to pass, I never got a clean look at her save for the black shape. And here she was, very attractive to say the least but the problem ones always were, my tattoo itched at the slight memory of it. I narrowed my eyes to get a better look at those green eyes and that outfit, checking for powders, pages, scrolls; anything that she could use against me.

It only takes a single slip, heard of this one hunter that forgot to search his catch, she hid a coin on her person. An enchanted little gold piece long story short he regretted it...well not really he seemed happy last I saw of him, but he was also calling himself Samantha and working at a brothel; that witch had a cruel sense of humor.

I'd give this raven haired beauty one chance to come quietly...It was complete bullshit either way I was going to have to knock her unconscious for my own safety. Palming a bundle in hand I made my presence known twenty feet infront of her my hood drawn up and my scarf across my face, staff in one hand a surprise in the other "I don't care what you did or what you want, your coming back with me."

Sadly the Inquiry never gave me any good information, not even her name.

"I don't care what you did or what you want, your coming back with me."

I stopped suddenly, almost skidding to a halt. My hair wild from the wind and my running that I must look mad. Of course, they say I am...

What do they know.

I smile. My eyes pore into his, the hunter, "If you do not care, then why are you after me?" I say, challenging him. Perhaps a ruse to distract him, but he is more clever than the others. "Move out of the way...Stiel.." I say, assuming the use of his name will catch him off guard.

Quietly, in the midst of distraction, I conjure up a silent spell...

"Move out of the way...Stiel.."

She knew my name how quaint, I was surprised she didn't know all the stories why I avoid witches, I was once a pet...its why I didn't age, none of it meant I was afraid of her or cared, it was coin that drove me, living wasn't free.
I waited patiently for her to try something stupid though I doubted she would, what bothered me was how much she looked like the one I escaped, the one I killed.

"Move me!" I called back "If you can." Her eyes aimed into mine, and mine accepting that challenge, this wasn't going to be easy.

I let the little bundle in my hand come loose and I threw it to her, the white powder praying into the air, if this didn't work my suspicions were right and I was knee deep in a bad situation.

What I do for money...

(OOC:didn't make sense so I fixed it)

I saw the small pouch leave his hand but it was too late. I was in the midst of calling upon the winds...with even a small intake of the powder from Stiel, I managed to call the winds to thrust a giant gust between us, hopefully knocking him over but I couldn't be too sure...

Falling to my knees, I felt dizzy...I felt nauseous... I fought with all I could to stay conscious but to no avail...

The wind was gone and I could feel him near me...

I couldn't do anything as I let the blackness of sleep take me into its hands...

I was thrown off my feet and into an unforgiving tree, praying that she had atleast taken a good deal of the powder into her lungs. Neverthe less I managed to recover though just a little sore but still ready for another blast only to see the powder take hold in an instant and she dropped. Letting me rest for a moment...The witch's little blast of wind dislocated my shoulder, and popping it back in was never fun.

*POP* I bit my lip to avoid making too much of a racket, didn't need the attention and not knowing how much she actually breathed in was at the top of my priority list. I turned her onto her back checking her breathing, she wasn't hit by much but it was barely enough to keep her out for an hour, so I dosed her with a pinch it'd give me enough time I think.

This was always the most time consuming part of capture especially witches... And it wasn't just hauling dead a few miles through thick brush. Which took me until night fall to find and abandoned mill just off the old trails. I had little caches of supplies all over, this place was one of them I could at least be comfortable tonight.

Setting her down inside by the old fireplace I went about making a fire, and lighting a few torches, before peeling back a few floor boards and going into the hidden cellar to gather what I needed: Rope, wolf skin blankets, sealing pendant, and a bundle of black cloth. There were other implements too, in case I needed to get information from my captures but witches only got pissed off with some of these methods and that was the last thing I needed to do fuel rage in a witch and they'll barbeque the poor son of a bitch responsible.

My food was in my pack so I didn't bother the sealed jars in the cellar, though I had enough food for a week and working well meaning I could take my time. Putting the boards back in place I went over to the unconcious witch, she looked so innocent...so beautiful, hard to believe how much carnage she could cause.

"Pardon me my Lady but this is necessary." She didn't hear that but it was more for my sake telling myself I HAD to do this rather than 'wanting' to. I searched her pockets took her supplies organizing her things into piles as I went, some food, a few small knives, cantine, a thick scroll... then I began peeling away the leather leaving it intact as I revealed alabaster skin, unbelievably soft to the touch but even that was a trap I knew to avoid, but still I couldn't help but admire the art of the female form elegant curves toned muscles, round lucious-....I gotta stop doing that, its like my past repeating itself.

I checked over every inch of skin and any place she could hide a surprise that might bode ill for me, even between those velvet lips top and bottom. I've known people to hide some dangerous things in odd places.

My search complete O bound her wrists behind her back and wrapped her elbows together as well making sure she could wriggle her hands free, following that I tied her ankles and knees, she wouldn't be running anywhere at least. My courtesy to her was to fold her into the warm blankets I had brought out and laid her out by the fire she'd wake in a few hours and I was hungry, food would probably be ready by then.

(OOC:hope you like the set up so far)

I awoke the smell of fire and food. I kept my eyes closed for the longest time as I tried to get a sense of my surroundings. Of course, it was no use...usually I would try to see out of the eyes of a spider or what ever rodent that happened to be walking around...

There was none around. This place was kept clean and free of any such creatures from the outside.

I could feel the floor beneath me and that I was laying on something. I opened my eyes carefully and lifted my head.

It was there I saw him. Stiel. With a smile, I had lay my head back down and felt my arms tied behind me as well as my legs tied. He wasn't taking no chances... he was smart.

"So..." I started, my voice cracking, my mouth parched, "You finally caught me..."

"Yes I did," sitting back casually I kept eating my meal. Silently for a few moments I watched her reaction she wasn't all that upset maybe she was trying to focus not an easy having just woken.

"Your 'things' are over there." Pointing to the pile of clothes and neatly sorted apparel weapons and trinkets across the room on the table. After we both ate...if she wanted to eat I'd have to begin my version of an interrogation, I never believe everything anyone tells me especially if money is changing hands, so I'd get the truth from her in my own way.

Finishing off my slice of bread the remainder of my stew I went back to the pot and refilled the bowl, setting it down on the floor before grabbing the girl by the shoulders and sitting her upright against the wall wrapping the blanket around her allowing her to keep her dignity for the time being. Picking up the bowl and dipping the spoon into the stew I held it out to her "Hungry?"

I was hoping she wouldn't be trouble but the cold night made for the perfect setting to my 'methods' of making my captures talk.
