working in secret lab
I had just relocated since I had gotten the nearly burned out disks and info about a cure for the virus. A cure my eyes lit up at thought. I shivered thinking what Medusa's would do if they found out. Then again they thought I was dead thanks to an old holograph projector I had repaired, I shiver as I remember the man who repaired, quiet dark haired and larger than life. He had done it for some food, some stimulants, and few others bits of technology I couldn't recognize. I wasn't sure how the runners always found me when they needed to I suppose sympathizers kept pretty close track of me as I was only midwife/doctor in area and despite the ban on male contact I was able to put together enough evidence that I was able to artificially inseminate women and that low male births accounted for my screening processes. that had kept them off my back for a while, but now I was tired, tired of being alone, and realizing I'd need help to retrieve the data from the charred info chips that lay scattered before me. It was quiet mainly from the shielding he built for me before he left.
I bite my lip, a nervous gesture and wondered if he was still alive.
