Women, what does this mean?

Not to sound uneducated but Labrys? I thought that was a doubleheaded axe???

Maybe they wear that as a necklace symbol? Just curious.
Yes, a labrys is a double headed axe. It's a symbol of female empowerment that is frequently worn by lesbians. :)

Ahhhh so wise! Thank you Etoile! :rose:

The Labrys also represents fertility, in a way. There are some ancient drawings showing it being used by women to plow ground for Spring planting. All in all a rather interesting, informative, symbol.

mari ratise tanati jedi qepita datara te didizake muru aranare kapa sikira pade are pade dinau kuro

The above is absolute gibberish, but according to one possible transliteration, Minoan gibberish.

collar up = bad fashion statement (or a golfer which their clothing is a bad fashion statement)...

I actually know a woman (lesbian of course) that puts her collar up and thinks it's a great fashion statement!

I always assumed that people with their collars up, just hadnt bothered washing their necks properly ;)

I wasn't necessarily saying that I needed to know if a woman was a lesbian to approach her. My question was mostly out of curiosity but yes, I must say that I am shy about it. Reason being, I've never been with a woman and I'm not sure how to present myself so I get all tongue tied and look like an idiot!

Aww, that's cute!

HAHAHA probably didn't. I was wondering where that smell was coming from! ;)

Geez, I manage to learn something everyday despite myself!

Honey, so many of us start that way, then one day you are looking back and thinking "wow, wonder why it took me so long....."

Keep hanging out here, and getting out in real life to talk to folks, maybe put a profile on a dating site, or go to a lesbian gathering place.

I guess a lot of it depends on the attitude of your SO. And whether or not you want it all to come true.

The stuff I learned on this site about not just attitude but the physical end of lesbian lovemaking has certainly made my girlfriend happy :)

Best of luck.

 Thanks for the luck! I might just need it! :)

I am very happy that I've found this site because it has answered a lot of my questions and it's great to hear that I'm not alone on different situations.

Hopefully I can get more exposure and learn from there. It's hard when you live in a small town that only has one gay bar but at least there's that.

It's a start!

and a general how to section which unfortunately kinda faded away

Once you get to know some folks here, a lot of them can answer specific questions or provide guidance. I know I can't believe how different my life is now from a year ago! Due in a large part to some friends I made here.

Now get reading!

Wow! That's a lot of reading on my part! :) Good threads! I am now officially aroused and would just melt if I had a woman present.

Thanks for your help! I'm sure being on Lit is nothing but a good thing!

Hmm, never thought of it that way.

But hey, the cold gives us a great reason to get under the cover and get hot!

Honey, I was born in the cold country. ;)

Of course, living in Canada for a few years certainly helped.
