i saw sly and the family stone live about a month after woodstock. one of the best concerts EVER.

and i found out this week that gov. hickenlooper was at woodstock...does that mean we might finally have woodstock nation?

No matter how much it would be cool to say I was there, I'm not sure if I would have enjoyed the muddy mess at all. But, I was only 10 years old at the time

The music was certainly great, but a good chunk of that crowd was made up of thoughtless and often rather entitled dbags.

I wish I could have been there, but I wasn't quite alive yet when it took place.

The music of that first Woodstock makes up a good chunk of the music that I listen to now. The Who, CSNY, Richie Havens, Janis, Country Joe - I can't imagine how amazing it would have been.

That's as stupid as saying"Watch Easy Rider if you want to experiance traveling by motorcycle". It ain't the same. Not....even....close.

Dirt, rain, heat, cold, bugs, nasty road conditions and totally stupid cagers are all part of the riding experience.

Just like the mud, the stupidity, the filth, the mob and the idiots were all part of the Woodstock experience.

Those who can will be part of it. Those who are to lazy, to arrogant or to stupid will sit in their easy chairs and critique those who do. Later in life the memory of sitting in that easy chair ain't gunna mean much.
